So good to see a new update. The addition of the dining table to the 1st class coach has made it a very desirable way to travel. I'm sure that it will attract a much better clientele. It's the first time I have seen Elizabeth in operation - a real treat. Thankyou as always.

Yeah, from an armchair structural engineer's point of view, that new table in the coach could definitely handle eight pints of beer, cider, whatever. However, the passenger, or passengers, would have to down them all in one if Keith showed up to drive the train. Byry Bach has setttled into the landscape nicely - it could have been there forever. Always enjoy your videos, Ian ... keep 'em coming 👍

@@DaveFiggley Thanks Dave! Haha Keith is careful really, it was just the once and it was partly my fault for telling him to give it a bit of juice to get up the gradient. The table is surprisingly stable.

love the coach and the laid back atmosphere of the video. The music seems to blend in as well. All I could wish for is to be there but this is nearly as good for me.

@@alangregory1806 Thanks so much Alan! That's really kind of you. Glad you liked the way the music works. I used it because some scenes needed to be silent because of wind noise or passing traffic and with just the narration it would have been a bit empty.

Great little set up Ian, it seems to get better and more colourful every time I watch the videos - Nice to see the little steam engine out running,the colours and signs reminded me of the DJHR 🙂 ha ha

@@frankthornton2269 Excellent! Thanks so much. That is a great railway. The railway here certainly looks nicer in the summer but I run it all year round so on some winter vids the greenery is much more sparse. I have also let trees grow and have planted a few extras to fill things out.

Wow , haven't seen Elizabeth in a while - she's beautiful! Curious, what's come of the Turntable - just for rolling stock storage...ha. Hey, in the states, guys add wireless remote control to their engines - you could actually sit in your coach and control Ivey !
@Elvinley
@Elvinley 3 ай бұрын
@@davidgekler Haha I could do that but it would be a bit strange and if I nod off and forget I'm the driver it could end in tears. The turntable will work if needed but it is such a faff I don't really bother now! I would need another riding car at the other end of the train to make it really worthwhile.

I love your railway, but did you have to make that carriage so high at the risk of stability? The passenger's head was a long way below the roof.

Brilliant video from an amazing channel! Are the trains custom or kit built? If they are a kit, what company did you get them from?
@Elvinley
@Elvinley 3 ай бұрын
@@blhplays5107 Thank you so much! The electric loco (Ivy) is kit built by me and is a Phoenix locomotive called a Hefty. The petrol loco (Scamp) was made from a kit by CMD and was constructed by the person I purchased it from. The steam loco (Elizabeth) was constructed from castings and parts and raw materials by the person I purchased it from. It is a Sweet William type. I did some small cosmetic modifications.

@@OCPS4361 No, but I was afraid it would be. I think the secret is in the low riding position which keeps the centre of gravity low down.
