I am finishing my gen ed tc this summer from Ivy Tech and then I am getting a bachelor's degree in supply chain management and economics at Ball State. I took a lot of Ivy Tech classes during my senior year of high school and Ivy Tech is definitely a good option for people who can't afford a 4-year degree or want to start their education early.

This is horrendous. Thanks for leaving me in the middle of the opposite side of the hiding out war with no support.

While I agree with most of what was said, I somewhat disagree with the part about technical degrees. A part of my opinion comes from military experience, where our schooling does count as technical certification in civilian terms. But a lot of businesses and individual people don't see it like that and at the same time view technical degrees/certifications as lower than an associates. I have seen time after time people with rock solid technical backgrounds, military and non-military alike, get shafted and a person with less knowledge, therefore less experience, getting the job. With that being said, to those who are having not-so good luck, don't give up. Don't ever give up. You know what you can do and bring to the table.

True but gen ed is a good certificate for high school students who are planning on going to a 4 year college and that is what I am finishing this summer. Technical certificates aren't the best but gen ed is a good option for people who are heading off to college.
