basically a love song that's also took the time to take jabs on excessive military spending of the time. the story tells about a poor man dreaming of dating a beautiful woman but cut short because he can't afford to take her on dates, so the man ends up contemplating what if the government military spending cease and instead was given to him and other poors so that he can finally take his girl on dates and be happy really is a silly song packaged in such a great execution, really nice to see people outside of the country appreciating it so thanks a bunch for reacting to this
