This compilation shows lots of Jimin's dancing style. If you still didn't know Jimin has extensive background in dancing. He studied hiphop, street dancing, popping & locking. Jimin also took some lessons in ballet, studied traditional Korean dance, modern dance & contemporay which he was a top student! He was send to compete in different dance competition which he always wins! Jimin is expert when combining his different techniques from his different backgrounds. He has a great way to combine sharp dance move and fluidity that make him dancing more versatile than others. Jimin indeed is one of the best dancer in kpop. And lots of kpop idols are looking up on him. Many dancer can execute movements well but most have difficulties in bringing emotions like jimin does to the dance. His facial expression to interpretate music, creativity and his great musicality Brian Puspos praised jimin of having a great musicality and body control. His moves are always so fluid, clean and on point!

I know absolutely nothing about dancing but Jimin's style was the one that capture my attention in BTS. Watching this you really kniw the guy is no joke he is a perfectionist and really works hard to excel on everything he does and his passion is incredible. BTS are great performers but you can feel all of Jimin's emotions. It's truly a joy to watch. I think his only "fault" is being too humble haha he should show off all he's got more often. I guess that would make some people even more angry.

He was already doing street dance battles in Busan before he did contemporary, then when he joined BTS he went back into hip-hop and he had to unlearn contemporary to fit into the group. The thing you can't see from this camera angle is that JHope is on the other side of the stage performing as well. They are doing a combination of Jimin's solo choreography to his "Lie" & of JHope's "Boy Meets Evil". They each do a snippet of their solo, then synchronize (while Jimin is blindfolded) then Jimin continues after he removes the blindfold. You should certainly see the performance (it's one of my favorites) from MAMA 2016. There's also some really great performances of Lie with him blindfolded that are just stunning.

He's been called the popping god and had beaten a dance teacher in a hip hop dance battle. To box him as a contemporary dancer only when he is much, much more versatile is discrediting. It's perfectly logical to compare Jm and Jh since they both hv hip hop backgrounds. In a dance perspective, a versatile dancer like Jimin is gold. As a contemporary and hiphop dancer myself I can confirm Jimin is the most versatile & captivating dancer in the Kpop industry. Following him very near by is his band mate Hoseok (j-hope). The reason why I put Jimin’s dancing above j-hope‘s is because he is more versatile (he’s trained equally in two completely different dance styles - contemporary & hiphop) & despite Hoseok catching up with choreos much faster than Jimin (which is why HE is the dance leader & not Jimin), Jimin is the one who ends up with the more precise technique. Basically Hoseok soaks in fast & Jimin perfects the choreo

The one where he’s dancing contemporary with the girls on stage. They aren’t backup dancers they’re other idols. For a special performance at an award show a bunch of idols who had contemporary training put a performance together. Jimin was one of the ones included. Award season is literally the best. Not only do groups go all out and have crazy added dance breaks and remixes but there’s all kinds of collaboration stages

Jimin is the best dancer in kpop. The only one close to his abilities is Taemin. You should react to their stage. Jimin is the most versatile dancing and his technique is the strongest and the cleanest. Also, the "backup dancers" were actually more Main dancers of another groups, you can clearly see in that performance how high is Jimin's level.
