This breaks my heart to see so many amazing shops so empty. As much as I loved visiting the market itself, it was the surrounding streets and alleys and the stores there that made the visit special. May they never fade
@vivanyatodd50363 жыл бұрын
True. I hoped street food vendors and other small businesses (not just here, but around the world) survived this pandemy. They're the heart and soul of a place, but also the one who are hit the hardest cause they can't shift into online or delivery like bigger restaurants.

I do hope that Japan opens up to vaccinated travelers by the end of the year without a quarantine, I would love to take my family back to Tokyo for Christmas, I need to find all of those treats in Tsukiji market. especially that sandwich shop. The last time we were there is was so crowded, and we decided to go down one little street a second time and were surprised to find a classmate of my son from here in Arizona who had stopped off with his family in Tokyo before going to Vietnam What a stroke of luck to see someone in a busy place, and actually be on the same street at the same time. It can be a small world sometimes

Please place a map link of the places you visit in each video. Maybe in the description so viewers can click on the link and it will take them to that place in Google maps. Only a friendly suggestion 😊 please keep up with the great videos!

This " global issue" has changed everything. We will have to figure out a way to support these businesses that depend on a lively foot traffic in these areas. I know that the restaurant business in Toronto has been driven to it's knees. Smart owners have figured out a way to go more for take out/ delivery, or to create outdoor spaces to serve small groups. But so many go out of business because they can't make rent or payroll. I hope that these videos will encourage the people of Japan to go out and visit these food shops. Carefully.
