I was debating c1 Hu Tao with homa next rerun. I may just get Xianyun and the Homa instead. Here's the thing he didn't address, though... what about vapes? If the plunges affect the ability to vape on those hits it won't necessarily be a dps increase. raw Hu Tao damage might go up, but fewer vaped CA's and some non-vaped plunges might not translate to increased dps overall. though it would be nice when HuTao has to hit numerous targets all at once.

I pulled for her knowing nearly nothing about her kit, i just knew she does plunge attack buffing. Her exploration abilities are surprisingly good. Triple jump covers a good distance horizontally and vertically. Also the gliding speed buff is pretty good. I wasn't expecting to replace a member of my exploration party today, but she's now in there together with Kirara, Sayu and Ayaka. Now i have full land, air and sea covered.

I tried it and it’s surprisingly good, maybe I’m not used to it yet but I found that with Itto and Diluc I need normal or charge attack before plunging so they don’t jump like a mile away mid air. So with Itto I would do a charge into plunge. With C6 Gorou Xianyun and Furina (C3 though) I would charge for 75k I believe and 140K plunges, seemed to clear faster against PMA in abyss than any other Itto team I’ve tried!

Hoyo played it smart. Hpyo knew how anticipated Xianyun was, designed her pretty well and despite not having birdlike exploration properties, she is very excellent in exploration and enables many strong teams, and allow Xianyun to take the spotlight as the Lantern Rite reward drama fades into obscurity. Overall, Hoyo just knew that the rioting and boycotting was just a fad and that other trends could take its place like the Xianyun hype. Just look at CN iOS revenue stats. Xianyun and Nahida sold more in a day than Furina'a banner revenue. It's insane just how much doomposting about Xianyun went on, but came out with positive vibes. Even Chenyu Vale gives positive vibes- most refined exploration gimmick with the gold koi, peaceful Liyue nostalgia, and even the second refinement to Black Iron sword. Hoyo played the stalling game and won. Hoyo may be too stingy with making changes, but damn do they know the playerbase trends.

Within a few weeks no one will even remember the drama 😂 this community can’t take a stand for the life of them. Dehya was perfect example of that, ppl were pleading to stick together and not pull but ppl couldn’t help themselves. Even though majority of us will lose their 50/50 to her they c6’d her. My friend saved for a year only to c6 her and lose to her soon after. Made him quit. I don’t get the train of thought of these ppl…I saved for dehya too? And while that would be interesting from a thematic point of view, it would be one of the weakest teams in the game unless you build Ganyu to be a Burst Sub-DPS and use someone else as the Main DPS. Using Ganyu as a Plunge DPS would significantly nerf her since her Primary Damage Source is her Charged Attack.

Can you try Xianyun with Furina, Dehya, and Candace? Dehya should be able to fix the interruption issue, and Candace's hyro infusion could fix the hydro swirl issue. Dehya's skill does extra Pyro dmg, so I'm interested to see if it could be a scuffed vape team with normally unused characters.

I think one of the craziest benefits of Plunge Attacks is the fact that they have no ICDs, meaning you can vape/melt every single plunge attack. Hoping I get her because I would love to play her with Diluc, Wriothesley, Ayaka, and most of all C6 Furina who can now vape every single one of her C6 attacks. Honestly u forgot one thing, using her jumpy thingys, u can boost yourself up (hills) and u can climb without wasting much stamina, I use her as support because my navia can almost kill anything she wants, and knowing I have tighnari who is okay, I easily kill stuff.

I'd like to see Xianyun kit expanded to better support wider team comps. Extend kit to encompass Normal Attacks and Charged Attacks too, the basis is there with Plunging Attack; just add more on Normal, Charged Attacks too. In general Plunging Attacks are hard to lineup, normals and charged are easier to hit. Against high mobility enemies your plunges are useless, whereas a normal or charged attack would provide better offense.

You should give a try to a cyno team! Something like: Xianyun, Cyno, Furina, Nahida Furina and nahida will generate blooms, while cyno will trigger them with his plunges while hitting strong quicken plunges buffed by both furina and VV Xianyun. The only worry I'd have is Cyno's energy tho, you'd probably need to fav up 2 or 3 of the supports.
