One has to keep in mind that behind many projects/bands are often powerful/creative individuals. In Germany people like Frank Farian (Milli Vanilli, Boney M. La Bouche, Le Click, produced a Meat Loaf album etc.) or Giorgio Moroder who moved from Italy to Germany and set up there his career. He is the father of Disco, Euro-Disco, Electronic Dance Music and influenced due to his Synthesizer work significantly hi-NRG, Italo disco, synth-pop, new wave, house, and techno. While in Munich in the 1970s, Moroder started Oasis Records, later a subdivision of Casablanca Records. He is the founder of the former Musicland Studios in Munich, a recording studio used by many artists including the Rolling Stones, Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Queen, and Elton John. He produced singles for Donna Summer during the mid-to-late 1970s disco era, including "Love to Love You Baby", "I Feel Love", "Last Dance", "MacArthur Park", "Hot Stuff", "Bad Girls", "Dim All the Lights", "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)", and "On the Radio". During this period, he also released many albums, including the synthesizer-driven From Here to Eternity (1977) and E=MC2 (1979). He began to compose film soundtracks and scores, including Midnight Express, American Gigolo, Superman III, Scarface, The NeverEnding Story, and the 1984 restoration of Metropolis. Moroder's work on the film Midnight Express (1978), which contained the international hit "Chase", won him the Academy Award for Best Original Score and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. He also produced a number of electronic disco songs for the Three Degrees and two albums for Sparks. In 1990, he composed "Un'estate italiana", the official theme song of the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Moroder has created songs for many performers including David Bowie, Falco, Kylie Minogue, Irene Cara, Bonnie Tyler, Janet Jackson, Madleen Kane, Melissa Manchester, Blondie, Japan and France Joli. Moroder has stated that the work of which he is most proud is Berlin's "Take My Breath Away",[13] which earned him the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song after appearing in the film Top Gun in 1986; he had earned the same awards in 1983 for "Flashdance... What a Feeling" (as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for all of his work on Flashdance). The reality is that already back then in the 20. century you had a kind of international music scene in which the more creative guys had in general a kind of network and often cooperated together. Also masses of composer and producer like Hans Zimmer (too many movies), Max Richter, Ramin Djawadi (from Batman to Games of Thrones), Harald Faltermeyer, Franz Waxman (from Hitchcock to Billy Wilder movies). But again: one has to see certain scenes as rather international within the Western countries. In a certain way they are simply 'Western producents/creatives' ...

This was something I really loved about growing up here. You listened to the radio with friends while playing and almost every song came from a different country. Years later I noticed how that kinda got rare and now many songs are just english and all sound a bit the same. Sweden is actually bigger in the pop business than most people realize. Many songs performed by famous UK or US artists were actually composed by Swedish producers. Here are some examples for that (yes, all these songs were composed by a Swedish producer; if anything, the performer might have made some adjustments to the song or was responsible for the lyrics): Producer: *Max Martin* Britney Spears "…Baby One More Time" "Oops!... I Did It Again" "Stronger" Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way" "Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)" "As Long As You Love Me" Taylor Swift "Shake It Off" "Blank Space" "Style" Katy Perry "Teenage Dream" "California Gurls" "Roar" The Weeknd "Can’t Feel My Face" "Blinding Lights" Producer: *Shellback* Maroon 5 "Moves Like Jagger" "Animals" Taylor Swift "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" "22" P!nk "So What" "Raise Your Glass" Producer: *RedOne* Lady Gaga "Just Dance" "Poker Face" "Bad Romance" Jennifer Lopez "On the Floor" Producer: *Avicii* Coldplay "A Sky Full of Stars" Aloe Blacc (US vocal, Avicii co-produced) "Wake Me Up" Producer: *Anders Bagge and Arnthor Birgisson* Westlife "Fool Again" Producer: *Tove Lo* Ellie Goulding "Love Me Like You Do"

7:27 Only an Austrrian would make a song about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the most famous Austrians 😄. You really gotta look into Falco, he was a fascinating personality with multiple controversial songs...and with a tragic demise. Regarding Modern Talking...they are considered rather cringe here in the German-speaking region, but personally as someone who loves 80s music I really enjoy some of their songs :D. I went through their discography this year and I can recommend the following songs: You're My Heart, You're My Soul // Cheri, Cheri Lady // You Can Win If You Want // Brother Louie // Don't Worry // Geronimo's Cadillac
@wkrijthe4 күн бұрын
"Rock Me Amadeus" was written by Falco along with Dutch music producers Bolland & Bolland. Falco unfortunately died of severe injuries received on 6 February 1998, at age 40, when his Mitsubishi Pajero collided with a bus on the road linking the towns of Villa Montellano and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.

As much as people thought or think that they are cringe every artist from DACH wishes to be a fracture successful as they were. The biggest artists of DACH from the last 20, 30 years have sold a 10th of what they did and you don't get 5 consecutive #1s if everyone thinks you're cringe. It's the same with a lot of artists in DACH actually. Publicly everyone says they don't listen to them and their singles or albums still go #1.

Edward Maya is Romanian, but the music of this song is Turkish. The original song, which is used, is called "Zalim" originally by Sezen Aksu.
