[SPOILER WARNING] This soundtrack, Vanirs speech at the beginning and the end of the game, seeing the Tiqqun sacrifice itself to destroy the Piranesi as my settlers, one of the few remnants of mankind who had survived despite everything that they went through were able to descend to the planet below in emergency shuttles as the brilliant orange bloom of the two vessels exploding above them illuminated them, a triumphant and hopeful chorus inlaid with synth as Vanir talks about the future of the Mankind i helped to save. This was a beautiful experience and i actually cried seeing it. The feeling of pure hope and the demonstration of the strength of the indomitable human spirit against the cruelty of an indifferent universe, beating the odds and surviving. Thank you for making this beautiful experience, and thank you for allowing us all to see it.

although if you read through the story and the decoded messages, it turns out that Vanir may in fact be fully responsible of destroying humanity and you are the one who pushed the red button. It's actually quite some fun twist:)

@@qiang2884 @Qiang I always interpreted it as Vanir stating that the Lunaclysm and Earth's destruction was going to happen regardless as the VHOLE Engine always causes drastic damage to nearby planets that are too close to the FTL engine Vanir also says that "any attempt to save the species afterwards would end in failure" however whether this can be chalked up to ego sort of like a "If I can't do it then you can't either" thing or a literal "Humanity is literally doomed if the Tiqqun fails in its task or the Lunaclysm catches us by surprise." It could be that Vanir really was trying to save humanity in an incredibly warped fashion or perhaps he was an ego driven man determined to make *His* Humanity the *Only* Humanity. The game doesn't outright tell us (atleast not from what I've seen) that Vanir was actively malicious. Hell even his own pre-recorded message at the end hints that whether you settled on Remus or somewhere else, you've succeeded in Vanir's eyes. But yeah I'm not wholly sure on my opinion though.

I'm interested to know what lyrics are between 0:46 and 0:55 It sounds like Latin, and I can make out 'multiversa' as a word, and maybe 'dea supra metrus' as a line. Now I have been listening to this forever! I think the three lines are something like: Dea sumpra metrosum Dea multiversa Ad petra suprea But the translation doesnt make much sense.
