In the last couple of weeks, I have been rewatching 'The Expanse' and jumped back into 'Frostpunk' and I thought "if there was only a game like Frostpunk in space where I can manage a space station and start expeditions to its surroundings". And now I stumble across this game, which seems to come as close to this dream as possible, and I'm so excited!!! The trailer, the atmosphere and the soundtrack are amazing and I hope the game can live up to that.

Soundtrack reminds me of Interstellar. It sets the mood for discovery, vast emptiness of the space, and dangers lurking around. Immediately makes us think about what happens after the movie credits. The game probably aims to explore this topic. Quite intriguing!

According to Wikipedia (de and en version). - 28978 IXION is a large trans-neptunian object (TNO) in the Kuiper belt. - Because of its size, the asteroid is a dwarf planet candidate. - You can see a real picture of IXION there taken with the Hubble Space Telescope. - Discovered: 2001. - Temperature: 64 K (−209 °C / -344 °F). - Orbital periods: 251 years to cicle the sun once. - Distance: 40 AU (Earth is 1 AU, so IXION is 40 times far away). - Light: 5,5 h from earth to IXION depending on positions. => VOHLE Jump: Maybe faster? @ Kasedo/Bulwark: Was that the reason why you named the game IXION?

I just bought the Deluxe Edition on steam and I'm thrilled to play it. Guys, I recommend the OST. Check out the awesome first track "Vanir's Legacy" from the epic gameplay trailer. Unfortunately I miss the essential "vohle jump" soundeffekt of the incoming spaceship at 0:08 min of the "IXION Epic Gameplay-Trailer". With this effect it is much better. This is the most awesome part of the gameplay trailer-song, when the massive ship appears. @ Kasedo/Bulwark/David => Can you please provide a second version of "Vanir's Legacy" with the vhole jump sound on Steam? Maybe even a third version with the female voice. There are people like me who have been watching the epic gameplay video for months and want it exactly this way, too. Greetings from Germany

I just bought it a second time as a gift. Thank you for this beautiful space-building-game with awesome music. _____ PS: Please integrate the "dynamic zoom to mouse position" as in supreme commander titles for a better workflow. An improvement in balancing would also be nice, i.e. less destruction management, but more building and discovery events. The pre-positioned resources prevent free and clean building. It would be nice to position them at the edge. I will write all my suggestions additionally via Discord. Thank you for listening to the gamers.

Messy pre-resources are part of the getting hang of the new sector, I think. You can demolish with 100% resources coming back so you can clean your builds in quieter times when you prepare for next jump. I even got achievement that says I always reorganise my sector designs :D.

@ Kasedo/Bulwark: Can you please think about a German audio version. It is still the most pleasant to play in the native language. Especially the distorted radio messages right at the introduction are hard to understand as a foreign speaker. The effected voice of Edden or the accent of Henry sound really great but of course would be better to understand in my mother tongue. It is exhausting to listen in a foreign language, which is why it is more difficult to immerse yourself in the story and atmosphere. A subtitle is not the same as a good dubbing in the native language. It's ok if it makes the game more expensive. Personally, i would pay almost double if it meant i could understand it better and enjoy it even more. I'm still at the very beginning of the game but I noticed this right away.

I was thinking if this is ever released to consoles a scroll wheel like frostpunk could help in terms of UI. Both Ixion and frostpunk share the idea of building in a ring. Around a heat generator in frostpunk and Ixion a ringed space ship respectively. It would be cool to open a panel like ring in the shape of the ship to access various panels like resource and material per day panel, hull, ships, alerts, missions, research, etc. I imagine some UI would be difficult but it wouldn’t be as difficult as a rts would be. Considering everything how structured everything except controller inputs and UI would remain the same. I’m not very versed in game development so I have no clue what it’s like to change a game to accommodate other limitations like graphics and such but seeing this on Xbox one would be awesome. Considering there are not many survival games like this out there and most are on PC exclusively. Except for frostpunk which was optimized for consoles a year later if I recall.

8:47 PM 12/16/2022 The ship management is cool. Its more of a sim builder and survival (thinking of Aircraft Carrier Survival WW2 game). I never played Frostpunk but if you liked Frostpunk you will like this. The future scifi with story hits this one out of the park. Looking for a futuristic scifi game like this but also rts to manage playing battles out too deploying units off the ship and invade or attack a planet while managing the ship like Ixion. I like the choices for events. It all needs to be random so its never the same play through if you start over and rare to see the same event for choices come up. An event just came up. "A World Full of Noise". Im replying to the events as if I was really a commander. The crew in Sector 1 are upset about smoke and noise from the factories. This isnt a democracy you guys and we are whats left of humanity. You are screwing us over cus you are complaining about nothing.

I played a bit and the first impression is great. I've been playing since the C64 era and the music is some of the best I've ever heard in a game. The songs and sound design are outstanding! The ship design and the story/idea of the game with the space travel are awesome. I also like little details like the visualization of the sun's gravitation on the planet system map. It's good that you can also use all the keyboard keys for remapping. Everything runs smoothly and stable, no crashes and the graphics look great on my 32:9 ultrawidescreen. _____ @ Kasedo/Bulwark - IMPORTANT: I do miss the zoom, like it works in Supreme Commander titles. When using the mouse wheel, it dynamically zooms to the mouse cursor position. This is a game changer. Please make this feature optionally available through the menu. Could you also please add a rewind button for the spoken instructions. looking forward to playing more. _____ PS: Where can I report bugs I noticed?
