Aqara Human Motion Sensor - App set up & connecting a Yeelight Bulb (UK 2019)

Hi Everyone! 👍
In this video, I unbox, set up & review the Aqara Human Motion Sensor.
I bought it off Gearbest.com, link below, to set up with the Xiaomi Gateway and a Yeelight smart bulb.
Using the app is a breeze! Just turn on location, make sure you're connected to the same wifi as the gateway, then hit the plus button and it searches for the sensor!! Yes, it IS that easy!!
I have placed the sensor in the hallway, renamed a Yeelight smart bulb to "Hallway Light" and set the app to detect motion and turn the light on for 1 minute. It works REALLY well!

Can you please tell me what kinds of lights are compatible with this sensor ? I don't quite understand. The light isn't connected directly to the gateway but the sensor is , so how do they communicate 🤔?

I use Yeelight smart bulbs connected to wifi, but they are a part of Xiaomi, it all works through the MiHome app 👍 Same with Yeelight or Xiaomi smart LED strips, they work with it too 😁

Where do you have the light installed on an app? Gotr some yeelight and the sensor but I don't see 3rd party connection on either Yeelight or aqara app to link them? Cheers

I use the Xiaomi home app and used that to add the bulb 👍 Then also in the Xiaomi app, I added the sensor. I've now got 2 motion sensors for 2 bulbs, 2 smart cubes for 2 led strips, door sensor, 5 temp sensors and a double wireless light switch in my Xiaomi home app 😁

Does this also work with the latest Xiaomi Smart Home Hub?

No, only works with hub as it uses Zigbee not wifi.
