I love Asa. Amazing vocals, amazing lyrics, amazing depth. I live in NYC. I was shopping for oils and your album with the song Bibanke. (my favorite) was playing. That was maybe 6 years ago. I have been listening to all your music since. 2024 still listening

the main message is that loads of people are suffering. for example a child hawking in the streets is bad, is suffering. doing menial jobs for your mates is bad. loads of people don't have jobs, that's bad. those are some of the lines in the chorus

Asa is definitely an incredible talent. She elevates the beauty of her cultural experience and identity, inspired by the depth and richness of her Yoruba worldview. This is an undying song, capturing the reality of life that stare everyone of us in the face. Its a reflection that will continue to keep memories of the past and the projection into the future busy as we search meaning for our present. Thumb up for you mam...
