This message was triggering and I choose to express my feelings. I try to give these celebrities the benefit of the doubt. They never disappoint. It's wrong Ms. V to tell the oppressed that they are aggressive (as reported by the oppressor). First of all, that is not true. Black people are the most kind and forgiving people with issues that are a result of the mental and physical aggressiveness we had to endure. For the most part, we down right ignore and deny the abuse as well as turn the abuse on ourselves. We have pleaded, begged knelled, boycotted, walk peacefully, asking for justices just to be treated like we are the divisive ones. If you want to try to explain to white people that their ancestors built a system to oppress black people by way of diabolically savagery and aggression and make a buck of it, then you go a head. However, It is unfair to tell us to clear our thoughts and do something different and ask them to tell you more. We are being gas light by telling us that we are the aggressive ones. If they are so open to us, tell them to go immediately and change the laws and the system that they are benefiting from and that are oppressing and killing black people. It takes no prayers, mediation, or consultation to do that, just action.

With all due respect Iyanla, the term "red" is a derogatory term the colonizers used to describe the Native Americans. Historical reports indicate the Natives were black skinned people. All descendants of American slavery are a mixture of African slaves, the European slave owners, and the Native blacks who were already here. Also, if Caucasians feel guilt, they can transfer to us the wealth that they obtained from 400 of our ancestors free labor. We don't need pity: atonement and justice are the only things they need to do.
