If you still plan on getting into Produce48, you’ll learn a lot more about AKB and idols in Japan through the show. I’ll explain a little bit, but all the Japanese girls who participated in Produce48 were in AKB48 or the sister groups. Sakura is originally from a sister group but was so popular that she participated in AKB activities as well. Nako is from the same sister group as Sakura, and Hitomi is from AKB. In the AKB system they debut very soon after passing the audition. They receive no training or lessons and learn things on their own as they go. A lot of them are not the best singers or dancers but it doesn’t matter much because their appeal is watching them strive to fulfill their dreams, so fans find a lot more joy in the process of seeing them grow. I would like to say though that although their choreo is often not so difficult, they need to memorize hundreds of songs so it’s impressive in my opinion. Basically it’s just a completely different culture from kpop idols!

This. Sakura gave up her spot on top of Japanese Idol culture because she wanted to be a Kpop Idol. Hitomi taught herself Korean because she wanted to to Kpop as well. Nako is still the biggest Once in the world.

5:31 Yes. Sakura has ballet background. She took her ballet lessons since she was 8. Same as well as Nako. Nako used to started ballet at the age of 3, and she continued for 9 years. That's why both Sakura and Nako still have ballet talent. Also, if you pay close attention, Nako instinctively incorporates the ballet technique like pointe technique in IZ*ONE’s choreo like when in Panorama choreo

I think Sakura did trained ballet when she was younger (or Nako lmao) so there’s that. IZ*ONE’s japanese songs truly are underrated AND misunderstood lol like they migh not everyone cup of tea but they were the only one/two kpop groups debuting in Japan who embraced japanese sounds. Not to mention the choreos are intricate af. I hope you found some good Bueones Aires video to see what I mean lmao

The choreographies of Fiesta and Panorama are too beautiful and satisfying. Instead Vampire I don't know if I'm the only one but it seems a bit confusing to me perhaps due to the closest telecera compared to the other 2 songs.
