Hitomi and Yena both have wider cheeks than most of the members and that is one of their most prominent features. It's easy to pick up on that feature. In a music video or clip from a variety show you only see an artist for a few seconds and often not at the best angle as they or the camera may be moving as well. That generally makes it hard to get a really good look at someone's face map it out and compare it against those you have in your memory. Keep in mind too these are people you have never met and have never had time to study their face in 3-D up close. There are a lot of reputable studies out there about how people have difficulty at first recognizing facial features they aren't used to seeing. It's why a lot of facial recognition software doesn't work very well identifying other ethnic or racial groups other than those of the creators of the software. As you get a larger sampling size and more experience with people that look different from those you are used to being around, your ability o tell them apart will improve. Likewise as you see the members faces more with different hairstyles, weight fluctuations, makeup, etc., you will get better at telling them apart.
