Gothic is my favorite game of all time, I grew up playing it, and I wanted to make a little tribute to it by combining the best music compositions from all three games and having related images go a long with it. An example of a good game in all ways: gameplay, atmosphere, balance... It's a pity that all those "old guys" from Piranha Bytes who made 1 - 3 series don't work there anymore, so it seems we won't get that same Gothic in the future. I enjoyed Risen 1 though; In some aspects it's even better than Gothic. But again, Risen was the last game made by those "old guys" like Hoge, Rosenkranz and others. Now we have Pankratz in charge and Risen 2, 3 and Elex are far from being good games. They aren't bad, but certainly not comparable to Gothic and Risen 1. I've just read that Pankratz wrote music to Elex... jeez, stop this man or the company will be renamed to "Pankratz Bytes" soon...

Yeah, so do I. But I think Gothic 3 has the good end and finishes Nameless's story quite well. But a plot and heroes don't really matter, I think, since Piranha Bytes can't even create normal game design right now. I still think that the reason of this is absence of such guys like Hoge. The game design of the entire series was built by him. And listen to music of Risen 2-3 and Elex... it's something horrible. So they really might create Gothic 5, but it would be something like Elex... and I don't know whether to be happy or sad about this.

Absolutely agree with you! I love Gothic games and Risen 1 too because he have dark atmosphere like Gothic ❤️❤️ But Risen 2 and 3 are really bad... Pirate theme is not good for this games... 😕

Funny but true, they are all masterpieces, ain't no soundtrack, game whatsoever that give me same deep feelings that I get from this. It is amazing we share these, and it is sad we cannot show others what we feel when they didn't play the game back in the days. Playing it now doesn't make that much sense even though us who played it 100 times would say otherwise.

This is perfect. I'm at work and this is the best way I can drown out the noise in the office while also not get distracted by the music. Only downside is I often get caught in nostalgia so badly, I'm literally playing the game in my mind. Good times ^^

Extremely underrated soundtrack and game series as a whole. I've got fantastic memories with all three games and I still replay them every now and then, and they still got the same charm to me. As a person of both German and Polish(specifically Kashubian) Heritage I'm glad these games can link both countries together and have something they both appreciate.

The graphics are old, the controls feel clunky, but this game is one of the most immersive games I've ever played. Every song I hear right now gives me other feelings and memories. Give it a try! Get hooked! I replay the series every other year more or less :D

Is it possible that this is only a matter of money? I would personally add my money to some crowdfunding if i could only be sure that another Gothic will rise - but it will be made ONLY BY PEOPLE WHO created G1 and 2 ofcourse with KR music only...
