Your guitar needs a setup bro. Intonation is off the charts.

Ok, I'm still confused after this. I like the more 'sparkly' effects of the condenser, but I've NEVER had conditions that perfect. Even the recording with the air purifier was 10x less sensitive than what my condensers always pick up. My kid will be on the other side of the house yet I can still hear them in the background :( Am I relegated to just recording my acoustic guitar with a SM57 and voice with SM58, then just give up on condensers?

Maybe try using a gate? Or fix the background noise in editing?

I've watched a lot of videos, read a lot of articles, never heard the suggestion of placing the mic over the shoulder, beside the ear. The guitar projects forward mostly, one of the cruel ironies is playing your guitar you never get to enjoy the full sound of it. This is why some manufacturers are putting sound holes on the upper bout, so the player can get more of the true sound of the guitar.

Does your mic sound bad, like your way to close? Or is it just me
