I’m a student at MSU rn and I have a TON of respect for Beilein!! He was an amazing coach for UM. Izzo vs. Beilein was such a great rivalry!

I’ll always have the upmost respect for Coach Beilien for how he brought back the winning culture to Michigan Basketball. And I’m from Lansing, I HATE MSU. But I do respect for Tom Izzo.

As an Ohio state fan who has loved watching the big ten through the 2010s, it’s cool to see these two legends talk

This is awesome , Michigan and John fan But it’s cool how the rivalry brought them close , obviously now that they aren’t coaching against eachother

Good to see rivals still be friends but it IS funny how so many times I caught them complimenting each other but had to include something about their own programs before turning over the conversation LOL!

I went to State and hate UM for multiple reasons (arrogance is high on the list), sports being one of the lesser ones. Beilein is the only UM coach I totally respected. BTW, I was thinking the same thing about turnovers. Help us!

As a Spartan I always had the upmost respect for Beilein and it really is disappointing how he left Michigan and what for, I’m not an NBA expert like as a kid in the 90s, however I knew that wasn’t going work in Cleveland. At Michigan State we been fortunate not to lose Izzo to the NBA who flirted with the Hawks in 2000 and Cavaliers in 2010, we know how both would have ended, disastrous.

He was disappointed with his one and dones and NBA was just a childhood dream.. His personality is not suitable for the NBA.. He's more of like a father figure mentor to college players.. NBA players react much better to the cool uncle figure..
