I came across Izzy's music by accident. I was involved in breaking down and moving a large construction crane one night, In between loads i pulled up to a red light and the radio station i was listening to faded out and this fabulous voice came across my speakers. Singing Diamonds the light changed i pulled off and her angelic voice switched beck to the station I was listening to. When I got to the hotel the next morning I had to to find the owner of the voice I had heard. I listened to her sing and fell in love with her voice. I am 57 and i grew up and still do listen to Billie Holiday and Nina Simone. Izzy is these two Souls reicarnated into one Soul. Izzy may you have the career you dream of. I will buy you music til i can can no longer hear but will relish your voice in my mind as i do Billie and Nina

Nick Lizano Mera she's talking about herself being backed into a corner by a girl telling her not to cross the border all while telling her that she's a diamond in the rough. It's a euphemism for her breaking into the industry and the barriers that held her back and those that believed in her voice and talent and encouraged her to continue, possibly a female fan that was literally head over heels for her. Either way she does yield to personal interpretation but that's the story I got.
