Izzy's a great addition to Drivetribe. As a fan before and after, i think the comments reflect what we're all thinking, that we really like her - and her interaction with Richard and Mike is great. Love the father daughter thing too, as a dad of a daughter myself, it's a nice thing!

Izzy, love how open and honest you are, it's refreshing to see a young lady who is opening the car world to another audience, my 11 year old Daughter is into everything and she seems to benefit from seeing ladies like yourself being ideal role models. What I’ve gathered from this is that James and Jeremy were exactly off screen as they were on screen, constantly keeping communication and cutting the bullshit to Izzy and Mindy through the hard times must have been invaluable no matter how bad the news was. Personally I think Izzy is a great addition to Drivetribe and there will always be jealousy but Izzy is a character and benefitted from watching Richard so it really works well

@hitec007 why do we have to thank the soon to be ex Mrs Hammond??? Maybe you are thinking we should be thanking Richard Hammonds parents... His soon to be ex wife has nothing to do with TopGear... We should be truly thanking Mr J Clarkson And Andy changing and making TopGear watchable and enjoying the finish product

@@colind4607never underestimate the power of having a partner who supports you. I worked in IT for 25 years before announcing that I'd had enough, and my wife immediately said, "ok, what do you want to do next?" and she was by my side every step of the way. I don't think I'd have done it without her. I'm quietly confident, and hopeful, that Richard would speak equally highly of his wife.

From the other side. I have a daughter who is 23 and I'm 50. The girl i raised was shaped by her classmates and teachers but she was not in charge of who she was. But about 3 years ago she came to visit from college and she was different. It was like she sat down and figured out who she wanted to be what she valued. When we talked it was almost like meeting a stranger. It is beautiful to see who she is

Izzy's videos are enjoyable because of the refreshing enthusiasm - she hasn't done all of this before, so everything seems genuine. Seeing the "old guard" do the same thing over and over frankly gets boring, watching a new person who seems genuine and just wants to learn and to have some fun with it is far more entertaining even if maybe they are not as knowledgeable as the others.

I'm glad that she pointed out how luck is important. No you don't make your own luck unfortunately luck is what you have what you do with your luck is what you make. Richard Hammond got lucky to get his job but it was his talent that made top gear become huge and give him a career instead of just a short job.
