I have long been impressed with Isobel Cooper's voice. Many people can hit a note. Some can sound wonderful. Few make it as a living. It is astonishing that this is one of the only things I can find on KZbin that she has done. (I love her voice, for me, there is a very special quality to the tone. And so I buy her albums. It would just be comforting to know that many other people felt as I do.)

It is an aria from Donizetti's opera Elissir D'Amore, in the opera it is sang by a male (see Pavarotti). There is another gorgeous version here, her with Helmut Lotti and symphonic orchestra in Brussels, Belgium

Nobody said the song was actually written by Izzy. The interpretation of the song is indeed by Izzy, and I'm pretty sure that's what the person who posted it, meant. Nobody "took" the piece. It is normal to sing a song written and performed initially by someone else. It happens all the time.

Es fa difícil acceptar que una cantant de cançons lleugeres pugui interpretar aquesta preciosa ària de l' elisir d'amore amb la dignitat que ho fa la Izzy. D'acord que no té la potència d'un Pavarotti ni d'un Bocelli, però infon a l'ària una espiritualitat i una delicadesa que cap tenor que hagi escoltat li sap infondre. Elsa Irshad No, Maria Callas was a soprano; this is a tenor aria. Supposed to be sung by a man. If you want to hear how this was originally conceived, I suggest checking out Jussi Björling, or Luciano Pavarotti. Maria Callas was one of the greatest singers of all time, but sang only arias written for her voice type. And the whole opera is gorgeous; L"Elisir d'amore, by Donizetti.
