Awesome......I am reminded of Jon Peters finding his old pneumatic Kreg jig that he thought he lost. They don't make them anymore, but for production work, it definitly speeds up things

Izzy, you never cease to amaze me. This is really a cool idea!! Much better than clamping horizontally. Takes up less room. I really like the the way it slides along and is run by air.

This could be hydraulic. Use air pressure directly onto the hydraulic fluid so you only have a small amount of compression. Using a large air/fluid interface driving a small piston could also multiply the clamping force applied.

I have used v-groove wheels with eccentric shafts to adjust the tension in a track. It seems like a simpler approach. Your approach works but it seems to be needlessly complicated.

Us less monetized types could build this but use wood cams in place of the air cylinders. A piston under the cam could be used if the rotation caused a problem with the parts moving on the table. A lever are could control all the cams. Now, go build it and do a video for me! Nice project and video Izzy! Jim

nice build but you should find a better way to lay those hoses personally it would bother me how they are currently mounted the use spiral hoses e.g. would make a big improvement
@aussiemanlyman21386 жыл бұрын
Andy. I don’t understand why he didn’t use single acting spring return pneumatic cylinders. You only need half of the hoses then too. And turn the cylinders around 180 in the holders so the hoses are over the framework, not over the work area.

I'm actively building this. Great video, but I'm left with a couple of questions. Could you link the feet you used on the pneumatic clamp? Also, I have the dual lever. The connections are confusing...can you draw a schematic on how you connected them? Thank you. Great video. (Also, Im going to use this in a home workshop...adding a tilt feature to the table and a simple fence to the track for other projects).
