J.B. Hunt Drive Managers are TERRIBLE. Why is management so bad in the trucking industry???

Jb hunt is a billion dollar company and they are the most raggedy. They mission is treat their own drivers like robots not human beings.2 years ago I flirted around with going back to them and I have 10 years of experience. They offered me a bus ticket to orientation and I refused to take a bus from new Jersey to Louisville Kentucky. That's 27 hour bus trip. They're so cheap that it's disrespectful, I don't understand how they still have drivers even with the driver facing cameras

I just left NFI. They have raggedy trucks and trailers. I had six breakdowns in about 2 months. The equipment worked during pre-trip but stopped working shortly afterwards. They tried to say I wasn’t pre-tripping right but they know the equipment is raggedy. I wouldn’t ever recommend NFI to anyone. I’ve seen plastic wrap on the gas tank with the missing gas cap. Every truck has a check engine light on. I walked right off that job after going through so much with them.

@Jack-pd4ps remember. They are listening to your conversations. Watching your driving on camera. In real time. And control your loads. The elds " approved " Bluetooth into weigh stations if your truck has a problem. All systems monitored. Radar on tires to detect tire pressure. Rigged against the drivers.

Facts!!! Driver Managers sucked on the Intermodal division too.... They were ALL fresh out of College, & knew nothing about the Industry.. I only lasted 30 days😂😂😂

It's crazy you made this video because I was just saying this with my trainer at JB hunt! We both been contemplating on quitting! Me myself Im working on getting all my endorsements! I already got my tankers I'm working to get my hazmat soon so I can start fuel Hauling and finally quit JB Hunt! When I first came to JB hunt 2 years ago this company was awesome especially the Amazon account! But ever since 2022 this whole account has been a dumpster fire! Definitely time to look for something new! Don't even let me get started on JB hunt putting cameras in the trucks and governing the trucks at 65! Now they've started some kind of new program where drivers can snitch on each other smh....

Yea you definitely gotta do what’s best for you. I had to get all my endorsement at trucking school I went so I’m grateful but it’s my driving record. I even got experience now and still can’t get a job. Yes the account is trash now, least just the management. Yesss on camera like nah I’m good on that. That’s crazy not tell on each other. I did my time with them. I definitely appreciate that opportunity but I’m glad I’m done with them. It was ALWAYS something.

40 yrs ago when I was a L. D. I’d pull into a truck stop for my evening meal. First thing I saw were North American and JB Hunt had invaded the parking lot. Each of them sitting in a lawn chair with a small bbq grill going. Both firms didn’t pay their drivers well. Held them to the mileage to the exact inch! I see things haven’t changed any!

Dispatchers go home at night to their family and leave the driver with all the problems. And if we don't get to the truck stop before 5pm plan on parking at the rest area or the off ramp all night

I started with Knight in February and then switched to Werner local account in July. After this, I'm done with "Mega Carriers". Just wanna finish out my first year. Alot of much better companies are already calling, but I'll chill for now. I say all that to say this... Now you officially know that Megas are trash. You experienced it first hand. Don't go to another. I sure as hell ain't lol. Better things are ahead. First year of Trucking is a mfer though.

Apply for gabes, there in OH. they have a DC in springfield OH, you make local deliveries to gabe stores,no touch freight, paid hourly and you'll be home most days and no work on weekends... New trucks, so much freedom, clock in and out on ur phone.. I'm the first and only TN driver, i love it. i can give u more info... They'll start you asap

Like any large company there are good and bad but in defense of the managers, I work out of a Jbhunt account out of Joliet Illinois and my managers are great. I mean it, they do their job well in Avery large account. Sorry you had a bad experience and best of luck to you

Every company have good and bad, that’s just chances you take but that’s good having good manager play a big part. I actually quit than came back, currently on Home Depot account and managers are amazing! Stay safe out there driver!!!

It's unfortunate your experience with JB Hunt "snowballed" into a disaster. You're leaving the Amazon account, is their lost. Amazon was cancelling my runs for empties or bobtail to another location that I'm seeing Owner Operators, pull loads from the same center I was waiting in. JB Hunt is on the short end of their contract with Amazon, for their filling their driver positions, and more Owner Operators wanting the work. For my departure from Amazon was a shock to the JB manager because I had a Regional Manager get involved with my transfer, which he didn't want to acknowledge. As for your truck, from the screen shots in the video, a "Park Regen" was needed, the Joliet Shop, isn't the best for effective repairs to tractor. The mechanics repair tractors for a short-term fix, that has them return for additional repairs to pay them again for the same work. From Joliet shop, to International shop, to outside vender, did anyone change the fuel filters ? Power Service 911 might have cleared the fuel filters enough to give you better than 30 MPH. Good Luck with your next adventure, just remember there's no perfect carrier to haul for. Every trucking company has it's issues, it may be equipment, operational in dispatching, pay, or getting time off, YOUR SAFETY as a company driver. The real question is, what is tolerable for you to put up with while working for them. When you're driving angry with the situation, it's time to look to move on to something else. There's no loyalty to a carrier, who does have your best interest at hand to keep you driving for them. Happy Motoring, Stay Safe!

You must have been in engine derate mode for the truck. Ive experienced that a couple of times until i told them, they either give me a newer truck or im going home and gonna leave the truck on the side of the road. They had two drivers bring me a truck with a follow truck behind that one. Straight up was brand new. Used it to get my stuff home and left the truck.
