Thanks so much for this as I sit in the Karoo....Memories of Winters between 1982 and 1984...Supers was too advanced for me when firing on a below average day! But I spent so much time on the beach watching the guys that really could surf this kinda stuff do magic! (Thats when we still used to camp or on a splash hire a spot in that camping ground just down the way on the beach) Otherwise I was around the corner at point riding the coolest wave in the world for people like me....Blessed beyond measure..

Man just a tap on the ribs cab set you back for a month. In April on my surf trip I broke my hand and now on July august make up trip got Covid off the plane. Damn it I’m all good now! Mindful of things I do.

Old school slang for old codgers on longboards who pretend to surf. J bay deserves better. If you cant ride a short board go elsewhere.. Being unfit or overweight is a choice. My 5 cents..I will never ride a longboard at Supers. Its disrespectful. Mark Paarman is excused as he has health problems and he charges hard..
