When I was 16 I had a stroke on my board on a wave, did not have a leash on back then I was a bodyboarder. I am Longboarding now. Still struggle with my righthand side. So now I just take it easy. All of our roads cross with something that is completely out of our hands. Some survive and some don't. He did not get angry at the Sharks and toulk it as a life lesson. Hope you all are getting barrels. 🏄

Had a close up with a rattler once, and your brain really does you dirty afterwards. I remember being in bed in the cabin for the rest of the two weeks I was camping, and every morning at like 5-5:30 am there would be a woodpecker or something that sounded almost exactly like a rattlesnake going ham on the cabin wall. It had probably been doing that the whole time I was there, but after the rattlesnake it went from something that didn't even warrant me turning over in my sleep to something that had me awake every morning an hour before my alarm afraid to even breath.

I wonder how freaked out Mick was after the White Shark attack that killed the poor fella at Snapper/Coolie?

To this day i find it weird there's only one camera angle from the beach....the WSL has MANY cameras on the surfers at all times as well as spectators filming from the beach...i have asked this question on many forums but the comment gets deleted!

Good job boys! To rehash such a traumatic thing in your life must be tough. BUT he was not injured or heaven forbid killed, so let's celebrate life. Still ripping and has more of deeper understanding and respect for sharks than 99.9% of us. Cheers! Let's have a beer!

Why black and white?
@TheodoreJudah Жыл бұрын
Why not? It's, stylistically, a good choice for interviews - makes you focus more on the words being spoken rather than the visuals. Also, gives a distinct look from 99.9% of every other video out there.
