@@jordanjohnson6402 one that's type dirty, get yourself a plumber to check that out and two I know it was just an analogy. But to the og comment, figure out techniques for writing that work for you. Yes you can use techniques other say but you will see what works best for you as you write more. So write more. I can share some techniques I have for myself that work for me. I may not be trying to write but I hear a song playing on spotify. When I start flowing to it as if Im featured on the song, I start writing to it. I get inspired. These bars may not even have anything to do with the song's message. I just write. These bars may be used for a new song. Other times, I write random bars that come to me. Nothing crazy like 2 or 4 bars. Overtime, I have what I call a 'bar reserve.' A collection of a whole bunch of these bar pieces. If I see connections between some of them, then hey, I now have a bigger piece. That may even inspire a theme. I now have a bigger picture. I then am able to add more to it and now I have a verse. I still have a theme, lets start the second verse

I’ve written songs in my past that were so good it’s amazing, like not to sound cocky or arrogant (I apologize because it definitely comes off that way but) I read them now and literally get goosebumps from how I thought of punchlines and stitched them together so seamlessly and I was able to paint vivid images with my words and describe emotions most people couldn’t even put into words. I took a long break and now I read them to the beats they were written for and I feel the same goosebumps and emotions my friends felt when I spit em but, it’s been so long, I’m so scared I can’t tap into that fire again. My homie said I just need that beat that speak to me which is hard to find rn but, appreciate coles advice cuz I know deep down I can’t wait for inspiration cuz it may never come but I definitely deeply relate to that “write the first line and…. Ehh nah that’s corny” cuz everything I write at first I instantly shoot down in search for that blazing hot line that’ll melt the page, gotta stop being so critical and let the process happen. Hopefully it’ll reignite that old flame, hopefully…
