2011 he blessed my ears. Had no idea who he was. Just scrolling thru my homies music playlists on his PS3 when I was staying with him. Run across an untitled playlist, beautiful music. Listened to it all the time when my homie would go to work. Two years later my roommate buys Born Sinner. Still have no idea who J Cole was. He played it and it was a wrap. I look him up and what do I find out? Sideline Story was the untitled playlist on my homies PS3. Looked up his mixtapes. Has been my favorite artist since. Kendrick's lyrical delivery may be sharper, Drake may drop pop bangers but Cole's ability to make you want to search your soul; to connect to aspects of your life and to motivate to want personal growth is greatness that is just unmatched.
