Man when I tell you i'm smiling watching this interview. These guys(Lench mob) was like a hard version of X Clan or PE of the West Coast. JD was hard, that whole group was. That WC madd circle album is a underground gem. A diamond in the ruff album. You can play that album today. Gorillas in The Mist was a movie. Conscious to a degree but harder. It was before it's time and reminds me of Goodie Mob Soul Food album as far as 4 guys coming with rough, edgy and conscious style. I can remember being in high school when I read in the Source and Fresh magazine that JD got locked up and was shocked cause it really didn't give a huge backstory to the incident. Then I remembering reading he got like 25 yrs an I was shaking my head, I knew then the Lench Mob was over. That next album was definitely missing him and his element. Rest in power Shorty.
