I'm sure a lot of people will tell you that Chicken Noodle Soup was one of the early songs in j-hope's career that inspired his love of dance. He's wanted to do it for a long time. He found out Becky G. shared an attachment to the song so he reached out to her to do the collab. He paid Bianca (the original artist) $2.7M to do the song and then released it for free. (She loved the collab by the way, hyped it up, got emotional over the homage and mentioned she'd be getting checks for life off of it.) Anyway, the whole song was so Hobi. Sunshine Swaggy. So bright and fun but so so cool and so professionally done. He credited all the dancers (which is huge for them and really great of him since he knows how little credit background dancers can get having been one). Also, I love that it was trilingual--Korean, English, and Spanish but then also paid homage the black American roots of the song. And j-hope really has such incredible charisma. I just don't think there are that many artists that can bring the high level rap and dance but then also just sparkle like that on camera. When he does the bridge and he's walking toward the camera--he's got great presence and command. Anyway, thank you for reacting to j-hope's work! Daydream, Ego, and Boy Meets Evil are great solos by him too! Or if you want to see him live Just Dance stage mix is a must!

My exact words when I saw this the first time were: “How the hell this man made the chicken dance look hot??” 💀 For Jin’s solo I’d recommend ‘epiphany’, but be sure to find the full length version in addition to the mv because they cut it up for the mv and it is a BEAUTIFUL song. I actually have a tattoo of it because it helps with my depression 💜

J-hope said that the original was his first song in dance class and that it was what made him love dance. He actually got permission to remake the song from the original artist, who has said he loves this version. You should watch Spine Breaker next.
