You are right. He is definitely the badass, he got the INNATE SWAG and he is not even trying. ( watch Micdrop, Cyphers, Tear, their rap songs and you’ll know what I mean ) Many people are boxed with the persona of him as a sunshine but if you really dig deep , he have this dark persona from the very beginning. The very reason he came out of the box on this album. The very reason I’m genius my bias. Fandom thought he would do sunny songs but here he comes ALWAYS UNEXPECTED great craft to deliver. . In a lot of his interviews in their Chapter 2, he have told this that he wants to show people this side of him. The mature, dark side. His first mixtape Hope World may have a sunny upbeat but the lyrics is dark and sad. Jack in the box maybe dark but the message is hopeful. j-hope is one of the 3 musical pillars of BTS. And now have 138 songs under his belt. Truly a lyrical genius, he can sing and rap, his voice is so addicting and never boring, always full of emotions and something you will always look forward in a song. You are in for a treat with this man. Make sure to watch j-hope in the Box in Disney Plus and you’ll witness a passionate and talented man pull off a Lollapalooza Headlining performance of a lifetime! Welcome to Hope World. Definitely check out Jack in the box in its entirety. The album is short (it's only about 20 mintues) and flows together cohesively. If you want more rock influenced bts, jhope composed the song Dionysus, basically comparing being an artist to the god of wine and madness, the wine being the art.

if you want to experience jhope's softer side, I recommend you listen to his first mixtape Hope World, with the lead single Daydream. Sonically it's very catchy and joyful, but the lyrics are much deeper than it seems. The main theme of Hope World is Jhope's desire to bring hope to the world. Instead, Jack in the Box, his first album which includes More, is the continuation of Hope World and the theme is about jhope's fear to not being able to be everyone's hope, but the evil that spreads throughout the world. like jhope, BTS, both as a group and soloists,face various themes in their music, experimenting with different sounds and always bringing a twist to their music. I loved this reaction. I was grinning the whole time and I'm so glad you loved it. Hobi (what people usually call J-hope) is a sunshine. He's incredibly kind and just always wants to make people happy. If you want to see his softer side, I would say Equal Sign is a good song to go with. RM actually said something along the lines of how Equal Sign is quintessetially J-hope. Obviously, no one is happy and smiley all the time and it was really awesome that Hobi expressed some of his darker side in Jack in the Box (the album MORE is from), but even in Hope World, his first mixtape, I feel like despite the mixtape having a very colorful esthetic and bright sounding songs, the themes were darker than in Jack in the Box, because it felt like there was no resolution, while in Jack in the Box, there is more of a hopeful vibe despite the darker esthetic and sound.

j-hooooooope! Hobi is my bias too. We love our Sunshine Rock God Dance King. Favorite Songs: I listen to Baseline and Hangsang every day. I also love Equal Sign, Daydream, Arson, Airplane Pt 2, Hope World and Piece of Peace, Pandora's Box. As a mother with sons his age, MAMA always makes me cry. Blue Side Outro and Blue Side Full Version are amazing, and Future. You know what, just listen to his mixtape album Hope World and his Album Jack in the Box. His solos on BTS albums are Outro: Ego, Boy Meets Evil, MAMA and Just Dance. Chicken Noodle Soup is a collab with Becky G. On The Street is his collab with J. Cole, his idol. His live charisma is insane, and I highly recommend live performances. ARMY says, if you are not a j-hope bias before attending a concert, you will be when you leave. He lives for the stage. Also, I highly recommend his Lollapalooza headlining show. He broke Lolla, more than doubling their record attendance number to over 100K people. j-hope is a dancer. I think he came out of the womb dancing. He is the dance leader of BTS. He started dancing as a small child and won national awards for dance before joining BTS as a teenager and learning to rap and improving his singing. He also writes and produces. He does it all. Yes, the rap line are the main writers and producers in the group, RM, Suga and j-hope. All of them are brilliant. Suga has also won awards producing for other artists. They call him the Midas Touch because everything he touches turns to gold. In general, I am soft on the rap line, but every member of BTS is a genius in their own way. All seven together are a force of nature.

1. The whole album "Jack in the Box" is a masterpiece. It tells a story from beginning to end. The concept, the message, the lyrics, the music -- all very cohesive. I hope you'll consider doing an album reaction, either as a whole album or per song in order. It's only 22 minutes. "Enjoy BTS More" has the whole album with subtitles. 2. Someone else has already said it but I want to say it again. J-hope's Lollapalooza set and Suga/Agust D's D-Day concert tour are like rock concerts, with ARMY jumping and screaming back their Korean lyrics to them. After you've explored J-hope's discography, you should definitely watch his Lollapalooza performance. It's electrifying. He's a beast on stage. Suga/Agust D's solo tour was also equally mind-blowing, but I''ll comment more after you have a chance to explore his music later on. 3. I think all members, particularly the rapline, are very self-aware, introspective, and contemplative, especially in their solo work.

HI! I'm sorry to hear you're not well, I hope you get better soon! When it comes to the "roles" of the members we usually refer more to their expertise and personal skills (songwriter, dancer, singer, rapper, producer, intermediary between the label and the band, etc.) or their ages (youngest= magnae, older brother=hyung, '95 liner= Jimin and Taehyung, etc.). When it comes to personality it's very hard to categorise them into "roles", cuz while of course we'll never know every single little detail about their lives behind the scenes, they show so much of themselves on camera that they come off as real people. Much more layered and complex and moody than "bad boy" "sweet boy" "cute boy" and so on. So, yes J-hope is very sweet and energetic and overall a very comforting person, but he also gets pissed off, annoyed and tired. I saw a Tiktok, I can't remember the name of the creator, but I can try to look for it if you're interested cuz she said it so amazingly I feel bad presenting it to you with my poor words. The creator is an Army and she talked about Hobi (J-hope)'s songwriting style. She called him a subtle unreliable narrator, in rhetoric of course. He gave himself this name because he wants to be a hopeful person to bring peace to the members, his fans and his life through his public persona and art. Hence his very charismatic stage presence, bright personality and bold choices in music production. Some armies were totally taken aback by this single, but as a rock and metal fan, I could always see the little edge he brought to some BTS' songs with his music production and lyrics and the clues that led me to believe he's also interested in rock music and its subgenres. What the Tiktok army said that left me overthinking once again over the genius of these guys was that his 2018 mixtape "Hope World", with notoriously a much brighter sound and visual concept (except for a couple of songs) than his first full-length album "Jack in the Box" (2022), has actually a much darker underlying message. "Hope World" is the visual and sonic representation of him wearing the bright mask in the face of hardships and the stress that comes with fame. "Jack in the Box" is the visual and sonic representation of his fears, struggles, and "ugly truths" coming out of the box he trapped this part of himself into. So while it looks and sounds gritty, dark, uncomfy he is actually "whole", his true self, free from the burdens of his and the public's expectations on who he's supposed to be. Also, the album ends with the very optimistic "Future" and the ambitious "Arson". While "Hope World" ends with the moody "Blue Side" that leaves you with a conflicting sense of unresolved tension, loneliness and peace. So long story short, he's very aware of the evil of the world, the complexity of life and his limits when it comes to being a good influence and role model, however, he chooses to respond to it by moving forward with his craft, trusting himself and overall being a ball of sunshine... we all must protect

I'd recommend to watch BTS videos in this order: 1. BTS guide by Taylor 2. J-Hope's Lollapalooza (with subs!! I think Enjoy BTS more has whole concert with subtitles) 3. Three solo MV's of BTS rappers from BTS album to better understand their individual styles and way of thinking: 1) Persona (RM) 2) Shadow (Suga) 3) Ego (J-Hope) Also you can check out: RM - Wildflower (with Youjeen, she is a rock singer) Agust D (Suga's solo name) - Snooze (with Woosung, he is rock singer). Enjoy BTS more made fanmade MV with subs for this song. I think you'll appreciate these singers' voices. As a fellow metalhead I didn't really get into BTS until I reached rappers' solo work. Even if they not always incorporate rock elements into their songs, they're still raw and hard hitting and this is what I really appreciate. I love all seven of them, but I really captivated by rapline. They are talented af. J-Hope's Lollapalooza and Agust D' D-Day tour are literally rock concerts.

I loved this reaction! Rock is my favorite genre so when this song came out I was as excited as you in the video, I love it when BTS does something even just slightly rock-esque. I love the music J-Hope does as a soloist and I also love the J-Hope he is in BTS group songs, BTS has really helped to expand my music taste and find greatness in things I wouldn’t even bother listening to before, and it’s amazing to be more open-minded cause there are great things in places you don’t expect, and BTS was that place for me and I couldn’t be more grateful that I got into them. The more you listen to BTS, the more you realse pigeon holing them as K-pop is a mistake. Their diverse music appreciation/knowledge can be seen throughout their back catalogue & I think a lot of ppl are shocked when their preconceived ideas are smashed. The reason BTS are a success is because every band member is an individual but is able to express that without ego. They have a lot of respect for each other, their fans and the music they make. I bet you'll be shocked to know that Jhope is actually not the main nor lead rapper of the group. He's actually the main dancer in BTS. He's the least recognized among the BTS rapline because his mixtapes used to be softer (Hope world) before releasing (Jack in the Box) . The other two are just beast, you'll understand why if you'll react to their mixtapes (Agust D) & (Rap Monster)especially Suga's song called (AGUST D, Daechwita, the last) & Rap Monster's song called JOKE. But Jhope is a beast as well, considering he's catching up with the other two who taught him rapping. I also recommend JHOPE's other track called 'ARSON' The other two has underground rappers backgrounds before debuting into BTS. RM is the main writer among BTS. SUGA is the main producer among BTS. The three of them are so different but definitely the best at their own field of expertise. No one in BTS could beat Jhope in terms of STAGE PRESENCE.
