The fact that hobi was the only member to be featured in any pre debut stages says alot about him . It always surprise me how jhope literally started from zero and i must say although Suga is my bais jhope's style is my most favourite

his growth is truly amazing. like how was he on music core before even debuting? he was just that good

It explains a lot why RM said BTS must have J-Hope and they can’t do without him when he was thinking of leaving.
@guardianoftime22 жыл бұрын
I'm glad someone else points that out! being on stage before debuting, even for 16-18 seconds seems like a pretty big deal! they must have seen his potential. I know some of the members were backdancing for JoKwon, so during those times working together, smth about him must have stood out to JoKwon and that's how it came to be...and when I watch that performance, I'm sorry but it feels like no other member would have fit that style and vibe as good as JHope
@HailToTheMeep2 жыл бұрын
@@guardianoftime2 My own take is that Bang PD saw something in him and assigned him to that stage performance (JoKwon’s?) line up. I don’t know who the person you mentioned is so maybe we aren’t talking about the same performance. But if we are, I think other members of BTS was assigned background dancers and actors in the performer’s other music video and that performer is (was?) part of Big Hit Entertainment. So all from same company I think?

I'm not of the habit of comparing artists, but J-Hope to me is like the Madonna of BTS. His work ethic is relentless and he constantly reinvents himself (artistically as a songwriter and musican, and even sartorially). Even the other 6 members of BTS have said that J-Hope is the "scariest" member of the group (despite him being regarded as the sunshine of the group) and to receive a compliment from J-Hope to them was the best compliment they could ever hope to receive. J-Hope's intensity and especially his intensity during their Grammy's performance of Butter is something that I have to admire. His current album, Jack in The Box might be short at little over 20 minutes for 10 tracks, but boy do all those songs pack a punch. He uses brevity and not a single lyric is wasted. Each word has intention. What I love about BTS's rappers is how flawlessly they can interplay onomatopoeia in Korean and English to create so many different meanings of just a single world or sound. It's genius, and J-Hope is particularly good at this.

Recently, RM tells about Hobi in his interview with Psych univ KZbin channel : "he has ambition to go worldwide". It's very accurate, and he shows this on his recent solo stage, to Lollapalooza to the MAMA : he's ready to become a true rock star. And he'll still shine in the future too. Hobi super star!

Lordy, woman... I understand you wanted to do something light and short... however, what is ever light, short and easy about any of our 7... and especially the masterful, brilliant, genius and Divine Ho-seok, J-hope and Hobe. Once again... You are masterful, brilliant, genius and Divine too. I must admit (being a 67y/o retired Doctor and Grandma of 7 who never ever listened to music) I needed you to reveal for me and guide me through the hopeful kaleidoscope of music, dance, words, truths and wisdoms that BTS 7 shower us with. I would of never known the whole Ho-seok without you. I already unconditionally love and adore BTS and Ho-seok. You assist me to go impossibly deeper and deeper in LOVE and LIGHT... with BTS 7.

Thank you so much for this! Hobi deserves to be known by the world. Army will always regard him as the sunshine and dancer of BTS but there is more for sure. His talent and passion is so beautiful. And he is not afraid to explore and grow further musically. He is so versatile and creative in his own ways. And his music needs to be known by the world. He tackles about things people won't usually be brave enough to talk about in their songs. The way everything was connected since hope world up to now is so insane! Genius!!! So much love and respect to Jung Hoseok! ❤

J Hope is a talent power house as ARMY we are so blessed by how talented all of the members are. The best groups are the one's where each member is a superstar and shine's on their own merit but at the same time they don't get big headed but respect each other talent promote each other support each other and are not afraid to let each other have their spot in the limelight (centre stage).

@eileencritchley463011 ай бұрын
@@dianeblucher621 Then you don't fully understand them or ARMY but that's ok everyone has to start some where in order to understand their ethos. I'll explain, the men of BTS are extremely talented individuals who do solo work for 2 reasons (A) as artist development which they then take back tot he group to share what they've learnt to use as part of the Group (B) they use it to point people back to the group as a whole. So ARMY follow what the BTS members have set up. We support them all in their individual work which they've been doing since the very start so 10years of both solo and group work. Also BTS members don't encourage or even acknowledge 'Solo' stans. They will always when doing solo work or colabs with other artist introduce themselves as 'I'm (insert name in this case J Hope) of BTS' Then they'll say hello to ARMY. We try to do what they themselves do and we try to help other's to understand them. I hope that helps. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

BRAVA. Your video is much needed, in a world (internet) filled with "WATERMELON LICKERS" ... Especially in relation to his latest "MORE" (apparently pronounced like the Korean "WATER") with at least one person daring to think they know enough to judge his latest lyrics as "simple", and another so presumptuous to think they KNOW J-Hope enough to judge what is FOR HIM and not for him, with MORE being, of course, "not for him" 💀... (The audacity, if not so annoying it would be very funny) Thank you so much for this brilliant video essay!
@bungluna92112 жыл бұрын
More is anything but simple. It's filled with j-hope's characteristic word play and onomatopoeia. Good rule of thumb: read at least 3 translations before you judge a work in a language you don't understand. Nuance is tricky, culturally specific and colored by personal choice in words. The more varied information you get, the better will be your understanding. (Sorry, pet peeve of mine about translations).

This is a great essay, please don't stop making videos about Hoseok in the future! I have no words, the way you said that most people don't really listen to his music and don't read the lyrics and only judge him by the cover so truthfully. It's sad, many in this fandom often do not pay attention to what the fandom exists for - music. But since BTS has not been making music for the soul for the last 2 years, there are more such fans (who do not appreciate music). He has always been like this - an incredible lover of music, a devoted fan of it, he seems to consist of rhythm, I don't know anyone else who gives himself to the stage like that. I am happy for Hosok's solo career, finally he is fully revealing his potential and talent to the whole world, I hope the world will notice him

8:25 I feel like the "Yellow Submarine" storyline might have been more fitting since it's a magical world full of music lovers (Pepperland) being suppressed by characters known as the "Blue Meanies" but it's possible that the rights to reference this story in detail was too expensive since it's a classic Beatles track.

4:42 This is a misleading thing we commonly see when looking at the WINGS album... The wings albums in its entirety is NOT fictional. The book 'damien' it was based on is fictional and the 2 songs intro boy meets evil and blood sweat and tears are directly off of the book concept.. The rest of the song lyrics in the album are completely personal and REAL to the members while still being based on Demian's concept of growing up (except for the few abstract lyrics in stigma) They ARE talking about their lives. They wrote the lyrics about themselves.
