Its songs like these that make me hate the whole "who washed who" debate because both JID and Em went 10/10 on their verses. To say someone washed the other one on this song is just disrespectful to the talent displayed by both artists (not saying Rob said that btw, just in general). JID was incredible for the reasons you listed, but Em did some crazy flow switches and the whole con__ alliteration schemes. Both incredible verses man. I prefer EMs personally but JID was also so dope. Both were equal and thats what makes these types of songs so great🔥🔥🔥

It’s funny you say that cause i was thinking to myself “who got who” on this song and i couldn’t quite come up with an answer, it’s hard to say that cause Em went hard. I can see who i liked better, which verse spoke to me more, but who washed who? I couldn’t come up with anything

@@RobMarkman Thats the thing, I feel like there would be so many artists who would fail to match JIDs particular verse on this song, he went in and Em just completely matched him, which makes for the best kind of features. Agree with you; Fuel is the best track and that has a lot to do with JID's verse. As soon as I saw the tracklist and the JID feat, I listened to that track first. JID has been spazzing and putting together clever bars since I first saw him at a small venue in St Louis opening for Tory Lanez in 2016. Back then he was rapping to prove he could rap, but now, like you said, he's putting stories together and painting pictures with his lyrics. I've been waiting for him to blow up for a while and I'm with you, it's coming soon 💯

No hate, I understand that this is your opinion and I respect it. How I see is that it is unfair to say that someone was better than another one in the song (for this instance, on "Fuel"). 'Cause, first of all, this is Marshall's album. You hearing him for 8 songs before "Fuel" comes in, so your ears are already getting used to him, his themes and his delivery. That's why when JID comes in, it sounds fresh, 'cause he brings fresh air for the context of the album. So just imagine, if this was JID's album, it would be reverse situation: your brain will think that Em brought the freshness for his album too. I hope I explained it in some way, apologies, English is not my native language.

Rob.. be honest.. we can respect Eminem’s legacy n penmanship as a legacy act. … but be honest he doesn’t deserve the praise he has gotten for the music he has put out the last decade or more. He doesn’t make better music than any of the top level artists of the last decade.. including Drake Wayne Kanye Kendrick Cole JID future thug or Travis.. not even a Nicki .. his subject matter is questionable n repetitive and it makes me wonder why he doesn’t receive the slander of any top tier lyricist that puts out mediocre to trash projects.. Just cuz u got rapping ability doesn’t mean the songs are good or even respectable.

Slim shady is still stuck in the past and not progressing. He's getting rid of that.. Thats why towards the end of the album, he just spoke about his daughters, emphasising that if he didnt get rid of slim, he might've lost what he has.. With Tobey he's just being marshall.. A person who wanted to be recognized for his skill.. Shady was a rebel that helped him fight.. He doenst need it anymore And yes, hes respected by his peers and a lot of lyricist.. Just say you and a couple of other people arent into it. But many people go crazy over his wordplay. Rappers are amazed by his abilities. Just different tastes.. I dont like jay z. Not my taste. I’m disappointed in everyone. Em spent his whole career not working with the younger generation and embracing new sounds. Now here he is, doing exactly that. He’s clearly sucking off the culture to milk whatever “goat status” yall give him. Em makes horrible music , and he’s the only rapper that can be removed from the culture and we won’t miss anything. He’s doing the same ol tricks and it’s sad and lame. Stop giving this dude attention, he doesn’t deserve it. Good rapping doesn’t equal good music.
