Hey guys, lovely stuff! I was wondering if the delay from the percs that makes them so metallic comes from the octa or are you guys processing with something else? one of the reasons I sold mine was because the fxs sucked, but maybe it was me after all :'). thanks!
@j.manuel78353 жыл бұрын
@@korboira1729 Heyy :) thank u very much for listening! U definitely don’t suck these effects are simply not the best. Actually it took a long of time to get friends with the effects and still they could be a lot better in our opinion - also they have some sweet spots The answer might be the input material and or Various delays/effects in a chain: Sometimes we use neighbour machines to get 4 effects on a track- comp filter, flanger or bit reduction +delay +EQ + compression, with the gain up for example - Or two delays in a chain through neighbour machines of course. Or a delay on the track and one on the master channel-with a bit overdrive and distortion in between - fast delay time changes are also a key to generate some pretty cool sounds - Many parameters are mapped on the Crossfader changing them real-time generates some nice sounds and artefacts The input material of course is very important, We love FM synthesis we generate different kinds of of metallic sounds on the Nord drum 3 p, also there are hihat oscillators that make cool metallic sounds. but you could achieve the same result only with samples on the octa track or in a daw- so I guess that’s just the mixture of the input and how you treat it. the Ableton spectral delay is cool for metallic sounds I think. Some of the metallic sounds might also come from the digitone ;) Also FM synthesis +screaming feedback delays- compression and distortion make pretty good metallic sounds We hope this inspires You :)

@@ThomannSynthesizers Hello! I I had a problems with Harley Benton guitars warranty because of these guitars. They constantly either demanded expensive repairs, which the store did not pay, or the guitars came broken and also no guarantee from Thomann, only the only time when the guitar fell apart at all they paid for the repair (not even replacement). That's not all, they didn't even ship my last 2 orders and I lost money. They do not respond to messages. Perhaps there is an option to contact them to get a guarantee. PS all other orders, except for HB guitars, came without any problems. I'm just outraged by the store's policy of not answering, maybe you can help encourage the store to dialogue, please?

Hi, thx for the setup explanation! Why do you use both the Octatrack compressor on track 8 master and the OTO Boum compressor?
@j.manuel78353 жыл бұрын
hey :) thanks for listening! We aways use several stages of compression. Single elements on the Octatrack are also already going through a compressor, the Kick drums and the Norddrum for example. Everything in the Octatrack goes into the compressor on the track, but that excludes the Digitone and Summit. We don't use the Oto Boum to smash the sound, its more reducing a bit of the dynamic to make it louder than again and to bring everything together, note that the compressor of this unit has a dry/wet as the Compressors on the Octatrack :). Also in production we use this technic. Several stages of compression can have different aims, about how the treat the sound. hope this inspires :) best Anna and Johannes
@j.manuel78353 жыл бұрын
also the boum is a master filter and has a very nice gate :) and some distortion that we use a tiny bit :)
@fruchticaramelos90133 жыл бұрын
@j.manuel78353 жыл бұрын

Thank u!! Actually its only for sitting, usually we sit when making music. we had a jasper before but it took to much space, ordered extra stands for some instruments, but these arrived too late. but we need to get a performance table... the octatrack etc is much higher now and in a more comfortable position

Hi i see 5 output from the midi hub blokas but it have only 4 !!
@j.manuel78352 жыл бұрын
just seen this :) we have different setting in the Midihub Editor on Screen right? This is because we switch off one of the pipelines and another one on, also we can make many more and use for example the channel filter and send midi to the Digitone, each channel a different pipe :) if you have the Midihub I would recommend watching the tutorial from them for inspiration if You don't have it and have a hardware based setup I would recommend getting one :P
