I firmly believe that IWC has positioned the Ingenieur watch at a lower price point than its esteemed counterparts, the Nautilus and Royal Oak, though not so low that it becomes accessible to everyone. The $12,000 price tag clearly indicates that this watch isn't meant for the masses. It targets those who appreciate Genta's design and are willing to pay for the privilege of owning the most affordable among his iconic creations. Through this strategy, the Ingenieur is carving out its unique identity and reputation within the industry. It may be considered the underdog when compared to the Nautilus and Royal Oak, but only time will reveal how the Ingenieur will be embraced by a wider audience.
I do not see why you compare the prices from the other brands on the diving range? This IWC is not a diving watch. For me, I think if the retail price is around USD 8K-8.5K, it is acceptable. But it is way overpriced currently. Not to mention this Ingenieur range is never a popular range from the IWC!
