自分もです、特に組手術には感嘆の声しかない、ドリフターズで豊ちゃんやってたので甲冑組討術が気にはなっていたけど、「籠手があるから極まる」「鎧を着てるから気道を締めれる」というのがえげつない、実戦剣術とはよく言ったものです。 そして最後の組手の泥くささ･･･、太刀を咄嗟に捨てて組みかかる度胸なんて、普通身に付かないですよ

実戦ではとにかく、なりふり構わず相手を倒さなくてはならない訳ですから、こういう展開になるのは必然でしょうね。剣道の防具に近い、日本拳法の防具の方が良いかもしれません。

This is just about everything you could ask for: A living tradition with rich history, kata and drills teaching technique and principles, full contact sparring that even allows for grappling to test your application. The only thing to ask for is self defense situations where iaido-style sheath work is needed and maybe short swords/daggers as a backup blade so grappling would end quicker. But that’s just nitpicking

Most hard grappling is not appreciated in kendo. In police kendo there are footsweeps. But outside of that it is taiatari and tsubazeriai. Luckily the overly long tsubazeriai has been sorta fazed out after covid

It may depend on the school, but traditional Tennen Rishin Ryu uses the same armor as in kendo, most koryu used the bogu for protection. Personally I think those armors in the video you link look ugly as fuck.

It is pretty pointless to compare the two of them. Koryu Jiujitsu is designed mostly for combat with weapons. While BJJ is designed mostly for unarmed combat. Neither one is better than the other. @@m5a1stuart83 Yeah. I think most of them are BJJ white or blue belts. Or they don't even do BJJ at all. I don't do BJJ myself, I do Vovinam. But I know that every martial arts has its strong and weaknesses. That's why MMA fighters need to do multiple martial arts at once.

だからそのための反復練習でしょw 素振りやらずに試合でいきなりホームラン打てないのと同じ 命がかかっていなくても いざ日常と異なる状況となったら 日々鍛錬してる武術家でも練習通りには動けないものだから 非日常でも練習通りに動けるように近づくのが練習の目的という人もいます
