I almost fell outta my chair laughing when one of the members lost a shoe about 6:29. This happens so often you kinda wonder if it's a planned part of the show. Planned or accidental, it's one small part of what makes KTSHS so magical. They have amazing skills to be sure, as do some other "marching" bands, but the way KTSHS brings pure joy makes them unique in all the world.

いつもながら綺麗な画像でのアップありがとうございます_(..)_ 3000人の吹奏楽ラストという事で普段はパレードのスタート曲のダウンバイザリバーサイドをここでやってもらえた事が本当に感無量でした😢 そしてコロナで活躍の場が少なかった卒業生も参加しての代表作3曲鳥肌もので現地で見れて最高でした😊 数回の練習であのパフォーマンスはさすが京都橘としかいいようがありませんね(^-^)

After a 3-year hiatus, it's great to see that this 3000 man brass band festival has resumed. It is also reassuring that the band's size has grown substantially since its last shows. I take it that the first graders have been brought into the fold early, so they must have learned the songs and choreography rapidly. I would love to see the formations from the overhead camera see what was "written" during SSS. Thank you JSL for capturing the band with your widescreen cameras. Great work as always!

Hello, good eye. It's because of the three hiatuses that Members of the 117th, 118th, 119th Terms were included in this 3000 Performance. This is the largest gathering of Kyoto Tachibana since the Kennedy High School Auditorium Benefit Performance of 2018. I'm so glad that someone had the notion to invite them. " Hey! "

Well, there were alumni marching with the band which increased the size. I saw the 2021 and 2022 DMs marching and other members who had graduated from the 2021 and 2022 bands. I assume they did this because the event had not been held for a few years.

今年の国慶節でまた橘病が再発しました😅本当にどの動画をみても京都橘の躍動感は素晴らしいですね。この3000人はどの学校も気合い入っていてラストにふさわしい最高のものでした。しかしいつみてもJSLさんの映像は言葉になりません😊ラストのテロップも大好きです。

I love 💗 the now used Fanfare for Tachibana 😈🍊, it really sets the tone of the Forthcoming Performance 🎭. Another now Choreography (how on Earth do they remember them and find the Time to invent them), but that’s Kyoto Tachibana ✅, never standing still and know about this is the Preamble towards the finish product for the Rose Parade 🌹 2025 in America 🇺🇸. Awesome video, the colors look very sharp. Best video quality I’ve seen. My favorite band looks and sounds amazing as always. True role models and a National Treasure(definitely should be), Love them. I’m not musically inclined but watching them with so much energy and enthusiasm makes me want to learn to play an instrument and I’m my 60’s. Would definitely love to see them in person someday. Guess I’ll have put going to Kyoto to see them on my bucket list. Catch the fever.

Must be tough for them with all the arrangements that must be made and the travel. Also the length of the parade. Bet they love the reactions they receive from the audience, or they don’t know what to make of it. The members always are great role models and outstanding ambassadors.

OBやOGはたった３回の練習で本番だったとコメントされていました。 １５０名のフォーメーションですので普段より格段に人数居ますからね。 乱れは仕方無いです（笑） 最期の3000人の良い思い出になったと思いますよ。

黒ジャージは全国中のクラブ、運動部で使用してるが、橘の黒ジャージは何故かカッコ良くスタイル良く足長く見えるよね、ストライプの2本線とのバランスかな、119期DMさんは自身が足長くスタイル良かったからだろうけどね

１２０期のパレード見ていたらまだ演奏演技ともに線の細さが感じられたところだったけど、やっぱり先輩が入るとどちらもしっかりしているのがよく分かる。１２０期のメンバーも場数をこなすことでかなり向上するだろうけど、一方でほとんど休みなく各地のイベント参加は体力的にキツいのでは？と心配になりますね。先輩との共演で良いところを学んで頑張ってください。

They are too good. They get better and better. When a member finally loses their shoe, I tried to figure out who it was, but couldn't, they are too skilled to continue even with an accident. Then a trombone took the shoe, but I don't think she lost it. Mystery Tachibana😀

Unlike Taipei 1st Girl HS band, KT musicians do NOT wear HIGH HEELS so that can continue even if they lose one or both shoes while playing and dancing/marching.

There was one performer who lost a shoe during a performance in Taipei. It was near the DM so she just moved it out of the way with her foot, then after the performance she picked it up as the band was leaving. So losing a shoe must not be an uncommon thing during a performance.

2025年のローズパレードに参加だから、今の2,3年生は卒業しているので、このメンバでは今の1年生だけでは？ 出場メンバーは、今の1年生と来年・再来年に入部してくるメンバーと一緒に出場じゃないかな。 再来年の1年生が一番大変そうだ。

橘ファンのあたし。 本当に素晴らしいと思います。 けど2018のローズのsingの方が好きかな。 まあ、好みの問題なんでしょうけど。 これはこれで良いんだけど、2018みたら、物足りなさを感じてしまうのは私だけかな？

こちらの方が… 大陸の地の波動と融合した形なんだよね！ 本来の時計の流れから割り出された喜びのピッチで… これに合わせるとダンス表現も…喜びのニュアンスを醸すことも出来心のコミュニケートがとれる！ローズ・パレードのときは速すぎて…脚を上げた雰囲気も…ただ忙しないだけになって人格の内から浮き出るものがなかった… 意味なく急ぎ足で町中を歩き…挨拶もろくにできない日本人にすれば… 速いほうがスゴイみたいに先入観が入るけれど… これが通常の〜奏でるピッチテンポであり…セッカチにはじれったいが… コチラが大陸王道の〜味わいとコミュニケートの音楽…テンポです！ 基本はコチラで…あとは、聴くもの本人の易々ようで良いのでは？ もう一度言いますが…ローズ・パレードでは心と感性の浸透性のない忙しい流れでした！

コメント有難うございます。 個人的には、兼城先生の目指している方向性の方が田中先生の時代より好きです。 コンテにカンパニーを加えてくれたことと音楽の芸術性が高まっていると感じているからです。 ただ田中先生の時代の方が良かったという意見もたくさん聞くので、そこは個人の好き嫌いで宜しいかと。 実際2000年代後半から2010年辺りが橘の全盛期と考えてよいですからね♪ ちなみにこちらのコメントは問題無しと判断しましたが、他の方から現指導者達を批判するコメントがたまにあるので、そういうコメントは削除させて頂いています。

WHAT A SHAME that we are not allowed to appreciate this wonderful GIRLS BAND as what it is:-----a GIRLS band ! A few years ago, the political woke-ists got control and forced it to accept boys---thus ending its glittering history as an all-GIRLS band ! It is NOT an official part of the school curriculum----therefore the members are in charge, (in theory). But the old-school, good ol'boys took control and forced an end to everything the girls had built up over the years-----and of course. the evil of woke helped them force the girls out of control. This is a band planned and built and led by girls-----right from the start. As a male, I am full of admiration for them ! The girls deserve getting back what they have created.(The boys are free to start their own ! ) The high-school bureaucrats that stole control of the band from them, used the lame excuse of the school itself being changed to co-ed. ----So what !!!!!!!---So what ! The band is not governed by the old bigots----it is an extra-curricular activity that is self-governing. -------------------Let the girls have THEIR OWN band back ! Here we are in the 21st century-----repeating the crime of 16th-century Japan,when the same good ol'boys stole KABUKI from its creator and builder, Izumo no Okuni ! ---------SHE it was who invented and nurtured KABUKI !!!!!!---Not the dirty old men !---and she rescued women from prostitution by giving them a career in theatre art and performance.....................until 80 years later, the "men" stole it--------forcing it to sideline women completely. Don't let the same hateful old fools steal the TACHIBANA GIRLS BAND !!!!!!!! Give it back !

Me thinks thou doth protest too much. The band was founded in 1961 by Professor Hisashi Hiramatsu. It was founded as an all girls band because Kyoto Tachibana HS was an all girls school at the time. It became coed about 20 years ago, (not just a few years ago as you indicated). There are typically a handful of boys (3-5) in the band each year, thus leaving the band overwhelmingly female. Since this has been happening for the past 20 years I think the evidence shows that the "boys" are not taking over the band and sidelining the "girls". I am pretty sure that this will continue into the foreseeable future.

You ignore the point that the Band is NOT part of the school curriculum. It is extracurricular. It belongs to the students themselves.The only adults involved are invited as coaches. Were the girls ever ASKED? If they were asked, how is it likely they would vote ???---keeping in mind that the tide is at last turning against woke-ism !! ---and girls are allowed being girls again. 20 years is very recent. No reason exists to refuse to put it to a vote. Maybe WE,, their fans, should get the ball rolling, by putting the matter to a vote among ourselves !!....... My vote is for the Tachibana Senior H.S Girls Band .

Also, who exactly "dictated" to the band that they would be coed? Can you point me to actual documentation of this? And why are you equating this to being woke? I don't think the "fans" should become involved in the band's activities in any way. Let the band handle it's own affairs.
