The 2020 graduates retired from the band yesterday to spend the next 3 months preparing for their college entrance exams. It's a good time to look back at this video - their freshman year - and see them when they had years ahead of them in their superhero costumes, enjoying the band and playing all for the fun of it- something now for them never to be a part of again. ..Joe

@A S Yeah except the parents are starting to ask they be taken down, all comment turned off and that people don't shoot them any longer. Many of the best videographers are giving it up altogether, and it's becoming too much of a hassle for them to try to get anything posted. ..Joe

Astounding young ladies and of course they're teacher. They will remember this all there lives. 100% pass for this exam best wishes for a successfull exam. From New Zealand. Japan is the home of precision!

@@mikefay5698 I don't get the "their teacher" part. There isn't one. This is an after school club they belong to. The kids pick the music, the kids create the choreography, and the older students teach the younger students. There's also section leads that put the entire sections together. Then the DM runs the group practices practices. There is a band director for when they do their sit-down concerts, and a freelance marching coach that comes by every few days and makes sure everything works, by by and large, this is all done by the kids. ..Joe

@@jagerardi Well to my mind it was very Japanese in it's intricate co-ordination and perfect symetry and joy! I would have thought there would have, had to be a professional music teacher and co-ordinator. Orther wise there would have been chaos. The perfect playing of instruments needed teaching. It .wasn't like my awfull School in Hawick Scotland. Athough we did have excellent songs from all over the world. Where I was strapped without mercy in 1958. To end Corporal punishment it had to go to the European Court. It was ended and any love for Presbyterianism! Hope the girls don't appear on an Orange day celebration in Ulster! Best wishes.

@@mikefay5698 Here ya go. Watch this. The subtitles are rubbish, but you'll see how hard these kids work. 37.5 hours a week of practice, 360 days a year, and all that in addition to their schoolwork. You will see how much the kids do. ..Joe kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5XNmK2mrd-VjKM

legends say the xylophone that chippi used is still smoking to this day
It's not just the choreography that gets me- and boy, does it astound every time- but their SOUND. I'm not knocking my HS band or any others, but hot damn, you just don't hear that from students. That's a Philharmonics kind of sound. That's "we don't do anything but breathe and eat music" sound. And every year is amazing. They're not like a sports team where they have some great and some not-so-great seasons- they're incredible EVERY time. Props to em. Every award they get, they've earned.

Loved listening to "T" jamming from 2:00, along with the rest of the KT family. Although she's well versed on many instruments, she amazes me most with her skills on the xylophone. Great competition show with "R" leading one of my favorite class groupings (114, 115 and 116). Instrumentation balance was great. Loved the 7 French Horns.

部員さんたち「DO MY BEST !」。
