京都・知恩院「除夜の鐘」試し突き（2023年12月27日 京都市東山区） Kyoto Chion-in “New Year's Eve Bell” trial thrust

大みそかが近づく中、浄土宗総本山の知恩院（京都市東山区）で2023年12月27日、「除夜の鐘」の試し突きが行われた。僧侶がかけ声を合わせてダイナミックな動きで、「日本三大梵鐘（ぼんしょう）」の一つとされる大鐘を冬空と京都の東山に響かせた。
As New Year's Eve approaches, a trial of the New Year's Eve Bell was held on December 27, 2023 at Chion-in Temple, the head temple of the Jodo sect (Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City). The monks' chants and dynamic movements caused the large bell, known as one of Japan's three great temple bells, to reverberate across the winter sky and Higashiyama in Kyoto.
