Wow your empathy level is off the charts. At least you have a home. You also don't know people's circumstances, easy for you to say all this. If you were ever homeless I wonder how long it would take for you to get yourself out of a rut.

the young still prefer to rent instead of buy, no matter how expensive, still need to get a cheaper on during young because once old still have roof to stay and no need to pay rent

Inflation is a global problem. But in HK it's an added stress to the many others that already exist. Living in HK is like being in a pressure cooker It's not living, but surviving. It's a sad indictment of successive SAR govts since 1997 that have failed the HK people with their ineffectual policies. They have done no better than the colonial govt especially in housing affordability 🙄
