His quality is undeniable but the way he plays it is clear that while some of his attributes are polished upto world class level, he still needs something to add in his arsenal to himself become world class. I think instead of left wing he should be pushed in false 9 role where instead of playing more like goalscorer he should play like CAM with pedri. with both of them there i think barca can create a fluid attacking system through middle of pitch.

He brings us more experience and ability on both ends rather than Balde and Fort. They’re very young my age 😂 Joao is such class it’s just his attitude and effort towards the game that gets questioned he is so class when he wants to ball. We have reached one of his top scoring seasons with him on limited minutes I’m sure under Flick it will go good.

I personally prefer him to raphinha. He is so good and on his day, he makes it all seem so effortless. Actually i think the best way to play joao, is to give him freedom to enjoy the game🙌the opponents won't know what hit them🥶

I think Joao should be tested as a false 9 with freedom to drift wide. He is much more interested to combine with others in short spaces, love to be in central position of the pitch, very good passing quality and dribbling but lacks versatility to be starter on the wings. Don't track back enough and poor quality and efforts in defensive transitions. IMO in a false 9 role he will shine with other players like Pedri, Lopez, Gundogan who could combine with him to finish.
