As soon as her son, Ravi was allotted Police quarters, she suddenly remembered moral values. She selectively did not pose the question 'How are the people who want this confession letter, related to you? As long as Ravi Verma was doing his long job search, his brother's food, shelter and clothing were acceptable; on getting a job, he conveniently dumped his brother and walked out on him. It is not about morals but about the improved situation that Ravi Verma got into after taking physical and moral support from his brother. On an empty stomach, Ravi and his mother did not bother to ask or confront Vijay about his sources of Income, and happily enjoyed his facilities. So, nobody preaches on an empty stomach but when basic needs are taken are of, people remember Ahimsa, moral values,..Nice depiction of human values and conflicts.

Excellent point. Being the elder of the two brothers, Vijay had to bear the brunt of society, face goons, fight for survival in a cruel world, where he had no guiding father figure. He had to support his mother and younger brother. Just because Ravi becomes a police officer, he suddenly become righteous. One can understand that no matter what your circumstances, you can't have any excuse to break the law. So being in the moral dilemma that Ravi Verma was in, he should have simply given Vijay one last realistic warning and opportunity to either escape totally out of his jurisdiction, or face the inescapable outcome of getting arrested.

your assessment is wrong,, no police official gets to know the moment he joins,, after some days only seniors tell, inform them about such delicate, dangerous matters to juniors.. so Ravi &mother might not be knowing his source of wealth, so both did not question him.... when Ravi gets to know, also mother through his younger son, they decide to seperate and want his surrender... nothing wrong in flow story...

There's something called trust! No one thinks of a loved one to be on the wrong foot suddenly. But as a police officer when he gets to know about the truth, he acts on it. Why twist everything to justify a wrongdoer? Yes, vijay was wronged, perhaps more than Ravi but that doesn't justify his smuggling act. Demeaning Ravi's morals shows how failed as a society we have become. And regarding the "improved situation" of Ravi,on watching the movie,it becomes clear that they weren't living in luxury but with just more than basic amenities.
