I've seen Jeff more than any other rocker. Starting with the Blow By Blow tour. There are NO words!!! Thanks for showing off this pedal. I preferred the 6V6 sounds. Too much fizz for my liking with the EL84s, but that may also be the low-wattage. Being a Hiwatt guy, I can't wait to hear this pedal in front of a clean 6L6 amp. This, and tube pre-amp pedals. Mid-range saturation while maintaining headroom with zero extraneous velcro on top. Thanks again. You are seriously a GREAT teacher!!! Great to discover you after the tragic loss of Michael Casswell in 2016. He was my favorite teacher! Especially his Jeff Beck lessons (all of which I own)! Amazing!!!

This is - by far - the best sounding overdrive pedal I have ever heard in my f***ing life. Jesus! Now, you are playing thru a fine amp - this particular DB13 is The Shit - but, my God. In the land of "transparent" mojo, this thing is King...what it does it does without, imo, barely, if at all, change the character of whatever you're running through. It sounds well built - yes, I believe you can hear such a thing - and at $282 (when I checked) it better be...but, sweet Lord. Every time you hit that open G chord, that is just regal, the character of that ring, it's...to me, it's just absolutely beautiful. I couldn't imagine anything better to have on your board than one of these. Now, I just have to pony up the dough and get over the sticker shock. Nothing no one doesn't already know, obviously, but everything made now is just so w-a-a-a-a-y overpriced it's stupid, but - it's the way of the world now. So deal. Great vid. Greater pedal.

Let's just be completely clear here. The "ridiculous tone machine" is the thing wearing the tuque. ;) And yeah, JB does about 15 things - mostly with his right hand - that no player alive does/can do, and a few with his left. I played the first 3 minutes of Amused to Death by Roger Waters - my first real introduction to him - and my son said, "no, that's not a guitar." Me: "Well then what is it?" Him: "I don't know, but you can't make any of those sounds with a guitar." My only concern is that someone needs to be teaching a whole group of 10 year olds his techniques so it doesn't die with him.

Little too fuzzy for me. But...it might blend well with another pedal (for my style).

I usually plug straight in when I am at home but I will be building a board soon. The pedal as well as the Dude and some XTS pedals will be the drives and fuzz, I also will have Xotic RC Booster and Divided by 13 lift pedals, and probably a Line 6 Stomp, Strymon Flint and Timeline as well.

Would love to hear this thru a cleaner amp to hear what the pedal REALLY does. Like a classic Fender amp. Divided by 13's are great - but his sound is way compressed before he even engages the pedal.

Well, the idea behind the klones is to use it as a "more" in an edge of breakup tone, and it's great because the way it boosts makes the guitar sit in the mix really well. So perrrrrrrrfect demo to me, although I underestand why you may want to hear it in a cleaner amp.

Yeah there are lots of people out there who have done that. So I like to mix it up a bit for those grip it and rip it type players.
