To answer your question: I got my job after being heckled for years by friends and family members that I should try it. I didn't receive training from Royal Caribbean, however I'd spent many years, prior, in entertainment as a host, a comedian, an actor, theme park announcer, etc. That training & experience was very helpful in preparing for a job like when I was there on ship.
