great playing and using the limited possibilities of this instrument and church to the max. Sorry to be so spoiled, but after some years attending concerts at the arguably best organ for Bach era music in the world in Freiberg cathedral i AM spoiled. If you get any chance to play this Instrument grap it.

'limited possibilities of this instrument'? Um no. Its actually a very remarkable organ praised by no less than Albert Schweitzer as one of the best. "The organ was constructed in 1912 by Georg Stahlhuth (1830-1913) and his son Eduard (1862-1916), disciples of Joseph Merklin. As Germans, installed at Aachen, Georg and Eduard Stahlhuth had all the basic knowledge of German romantic organbuilding. As disciples and close friends of Joseph Merklin at Brussels and Lyon, they had a share in the development of French symphonic organbuilding. Their contracts in England and Ireland provided them with good knowledge of English romantic organbuilding. Thus, they were among the rare organbuilders able to incorporate both French and English characteristics into German romantic organbuilding, defending in this way Albert Schweitzer’s "European" ideas on organbuilding, ideas on which the project was established in 1912." Basically a large German instrument (4+P 72/94) but with French and English features enabling playing of a wide repertoire. Today its one of the most recorded organs in Europe, very popular on the concert circuit and there is a Hauptwerk sampleset available.
