There are a lot of beautiful music to enjoy from, but this is the most beautiful music I have stumbled upon. Your playing is divine! I have been a fan of Philip Woodfield guitars listening to the Kupinski duo and Marcin Dylla, but this new Woodfield guitar you play is quite above anything I have heard, including previous Woodfield's. And I thought all previous Woodfield guitars I have heard were head and shoulders above other guitars. I almost ordered a Woodfield a few years back, but could not quite do it because it was more than I could afford, but now I will have to do it. May I ask what Woodfield model this is? Also, may I ask what Savarez strings you use? Sorry for all the questions: I will most likely never be able to play as beautiful as you do, but your sound is so beautiful that I very much want to emulate it as much as possible.

Thank you very very much for your beautiful words: you made my day! This guitar is very new, I got it last june 2017 so we can definitely expect even more improvements. I will check the model and tell you but I am pretty sure It's the Concert I°. I use savarez cantiga red normal tension. Hope to see you in Vietnam next november :) Thank you again for your kind comment

This is about the best Bach playing I have heard on guitar. Shape, color, rhetoric, architecture are all so convincing. He shapes his bass lines.. His rhythm is organic and convincing. His freedoms are elegant. This is one of my favorite harpsichord-happy works but I am so pleased to leave myself in Bernardi's hands.

I play the BWV 998 for 30 years and from time to time I look for versions on the internet. I love this one, so well played. Calm and precise but not just technical. The lines in the music can be well followed. Thank you! And I also love the sound of the guitar/strings, made me interested in the guitar builder.

This piece is played flawlessly with ZERO errors , I have heard Julian Bream & John Williams played, this but by far I thinks yours is the BEST of the BEST. John Williams played flawlessly with zero errors but I think he still lacks the nuances, subtleties, rhythm that makes the song shines, on the other hand Julian Bream played with good rhythm, but he has mistakes here and there, especially the Fugue part. YOU have captured the best of BOTH and executed a flawless execution in terms of sound quality , nuances, beauty, and zero errors. From the way I see it , I think you can even perform this song with your eyes closed because it appears so effortless to you while other professional guitarist may be struggling to master/play this super difficult piece. BRAVO , BRAVO AND ONCE AGAIN BRAVO. Thank you for this superior presentation. JS Bach will be so proud to hear his masterpiece played so beautifully.

I wish guitarists would play this in Eb I know equal temperament Eb is not quite the same as Bach’s Eb but it sounds very different. Barrueco used to play it in Eb with a capo at the first fret.

This is a beautiful performance Lorenzo, very impressive indeed and I have just subscibed to your channel. I also love the sound of your Philip Woodfield guitar - is it the Concert 1 model? I am interested to know as I've only recently come across these guitars and am thinking about getting one of his models myself. Do you think the guitar's sound has improved even more over the last couple of years since you have been playing it?
@lorenzobernardi_guitar5 жыл бұрын
Hello and thank you very much for your very kind comment. I think that from this video the guitar has improved VERY MUCH. Also because I found the perfect set of string for it. I am not sure about the model, sorry, I will ask Philip :)
