I’ve been enthralled by this ever since hearing “Switched on Bach” at school in about 1972. This version is exhilarating. Can you estimate how many hours of work you dedicated to create this masterpiece? Thank you again.

Thank you for your appreciation and interest. With respect to your question, it really depends on the piece and my creative state of mind. Sometimes it can take me a week while other projects get put on the back burner for years. First off is sequencing - getting the notes and any performance inflections into my notation software… this piece originally took me a few days for that step - note by note. Then comes the sound experiments… Bach wrote this for a specific instrument set - that is, he knew how the score would sound. I have to consider such things and comparable wave forms and alternate sound layers, for example. Sometimes the timbres I create seem to come organically and the process progresses in a couple of days. Other times I don’t know what to do and when I can’t move forward, the project gets put on hold. For this piece it was a bit time consuming because I was trying to be very specific with my sounds in tribute to Carlos’ version. Most of the instruments took several hours each with initial programming and tweaking, however, the lead “oboes” and “bassoon” took days worth of trial and error to find something reminiscent enough to use (there are no templates to the patching Carlos designed). There were no additional sound layering or effects tracks necessary so the mix down process was pretty straight forward. All in all, I can only guesstimate that this took me a couple of weeks to complete… and that’s working digitally. Imagine how long Wendy’s process took! People sometimes criticize that I’m using a DAW (digital audio workstation) yet I still have to go through the same steps to develop my music, although some aspects are more streamlined. I hope the above satisfies your interest in my version of the Sinfonia. My experience with the piece is on par with yours. Thank You again for your comment and I hope you find other such music to enjoy on my channel. Cheers.

Are we absolutely sure that J.S. Bach didn't have a Synth? It sounds like this sinfonia was specificly composed for synth!

Bach is dermate abstract dat elke verwijzing naar het stoffelijke (in de vorm van een muziekinstrument), afleidt van de essentie. Electronische toongeneratoren zijn onstoffelijk.

Same experience for me although it was back in grade 7… 1971 just a few years after S-OB was released. I went out and bought the album that night.

Dit is het eerste nummer van de LP "Switched on Bach uit 1968. Ik was toen 16. Ik hoorde het nummer op Hilversum I, rende onmiddellijk naar de dichtsbijzijnde platenzaak gerend, en kocht de LP.

Can you make a 432hz frequency version of Two-Part Invention No. 4 in D minor, BWV 775 (Synthesized)? Imagine how cool it would sound in 432hz frequency.
