blankroyai I’m playing the first and sec line SUPER slow LMAoooo
@paolofranzoni4405 жыл бұрын
it's not about how fast you can play it. Technically this piece is quite simple, the difficulty lies in the dynamic execution: play as it should be played.

I love Bach's music so much! Is Bach's music sounds like the jazz from the baroque period.

Absolutely phenomenal job, I love Bach’s pieces, they are true demonstrations of art. He is the kind of the baroque period; hence the name baroque

Thank you so very much for this. I particularly appreciate the fingering numbers as I do not have it on my own score. Fingering is crucial in such a piece.

I am slowly working my way through the Inventions now and your videos are a big help. I started piano late in life and gave it up once, back before KZbin and the internet. Now I have the huge benefit of great teachers like this channel. Muchas gracias de España.

So are the Sinfonias the logical next step after the 2 Part Inventions? I don't find them nearly as charming for some reason, but perhaps they are fun and instructive to play.

in fact the Play along version is the right tempo version (as it is a contemplative invention) and performance version is TOO fast

There's a typo in your score in bar 15: the top R.H. note is A natural (not A flat). This isn't a lesson? It's a demo (maybe)? Why mislead by calling it a lesson? (sigh) . As for hyperspeed à la Glenn Gould :-) check out Wim Winters' ideas on Cserny's suggested speeds.... Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what score you're using, but the one I have doesn't have an A-flat in treble clef bar 15.

I have practiced this all my life and not once played it perfectly, not even close. I had no teachers to guide me. My bad fingering is already a habit. Now at last. a new approach. Maybe I can do it.after all.

Love this, but on the slow version the last note lh of measure 9 should be an a and not a d correct?
@wertherland4 жыл бұрын
This is one of my favorite inventions... but let me ask you something... what is the right way to play it? what speed? I've heard so many versions, the notes are so beautifully placed that I enjoy every finger stroke... but honestly... Gould has a recording that it totally ruins it, like light speed... makes look your "pushing the limit" as slow. I am a huge fan of Glen, but I hate what he did. The question is, how did Bach intended it to be played? can anyone answer this? Thank you!

I, personally, prefer slower tempos.

I would say follow your heart? Don’t go too slow or too fast, and try to somehow respect the time that is written in the score. Also, always try to respect the dynamics, staccatos etc. One thing that my teacher taught me is to not mark the staccatos a lot in bach music, cause us was not made for piano and the staccatos weren’t that “strong”. Just play how you feel you should play

Fingering is usually just a guide and is open to interpretation
In case anyone's interested in music for 2 pianos... I've just completed writing arrangements of all of Bach's 2 part inventions. One piano part remains as Bach's original, whilst the other plays a new additional piano part. Available via my website: www.simonpeberdymusic.com
