These minor pieces are so rich in their emotional depth. They really show Bach as a Romantic and not merely for his busy fugues running across the page Thank you for this side to Bach’s personality.

Some Bach preludes have an inexplicable magic, a logic of their own that once you internalize it, it sticks to your soul, a speech that massages your spirit like a healing balm that suspends time and speaks of a song beyond here. That's the case of number 8

This has long been my favorite fugue -- but this is my first time hearing it on a clavichord. This instrument is so sweet, and presents all of the voices so clearly. Many thanks to you.

My favourite prelude and fugue, and my second favourite recording of it (after the one from 2017). Listening to it moves me to tears, and for a moment nothing matters except the beauty of music.

The almost cavernous sustain/ring on the clavichord is used to great effect to heighten the pathos of this pieces.

Beautiful performance! One of my favorite ones from WTC. I played it during my time at university and recently (after about 12 years) tried to play the fugue from sight again - I immediately remembered how difficult it is because of the big distance between the voices in some passages. Well done!

I find this Prelude one of the hardest, not because of technical problems, but because of the realization of the arpeggio. I liked yours very very much and also this special Fugue. Bravo!

This is a lovely performance. The slower tempo is informed by the beauty and pathos of the music rather than being tied to a metronome marking. I understand that the metronome was not around in Bach's time, and he did not mark the tempo. So the only way to find the tempo is to judge by the expression in the music itself. This is one of the great pieces of music. I enjoyed listening very much.

My head turns inside out playing 7:05 - 7:20 there seems to be a double entry to the fugue in the middle part

P.S. Dear Wim, I loved your device for working out who listened to the end ( my notation is a Major ending for the Prelude but a minor (Gb) ending for the Fugue. LoL.
