Bhramins not having any political muscle to oppose structures / who can learn vedas may be true, but it does not also mean that Bhramins would embrace other communities with interest in Vedas with open arms. There might be one or two here and there who is all embracing but can't generalize. Remember at the end of the day vaidhika bhramins are also practicing their profession for pay and every profession comes with an attempt to protect their jobs. I still think that institutionalizing the study of Vedas can change things instead of arguing "who is stopping them?" etc.

There's hardly anyone willing to learn, because you need to put hours of daily practice and little money earned, not enough to feed family decently. Can't go back to other high paying jobs. I know many students who love their traditional practices fully knowing the lack of money. Stop spreading fake news and you are welcome to learn

The truth is that the Vedas are already open to all. Europeans, South Americans, and other nationalities are already learning Sanskrit and Vedas and pronouncing the mantras correctly. You can watch several videos on KZbin. PM Modi went to Brazil this week ( Rio) and was welcomed by Brazilians reciting Sanskrit slokas. The world is changing very fast. However, it is also important that we must encourage and support Vedic schools in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere run by Brahmins.

1. Caste is not about God. 2. At a Spiritual level Caste is about the Guna of a person, 100 years ago a proper Brahmin practitioner with his diet and routines would find it easy to have a wife who aligns with his life style. 3. At social level, caste is about teaching professional skills to your kids as they could learn easily while growing up with their family and community. 3. Men being the primary bread earner (physical strength & logistics issue) was trained to take over the father's business and the woman had to leave her parents house after marriage. Hence women were allowed to marry outside caste.

Right. This may not seem fair in today’s society. But many ways of present day world may horrify the future. But one important disinction is between Varna and Jaathi, which we confuse because we do not use OUR words for them, but the word “caste” which is alien in origin and meaning and totally unapplicable to our society.m

For those who say varna was not by birth but by karma etc or believe such lies First question is why is there a need to divide people and restrict flow of knowledge? Will society be harmed or will benefit if every one gained spiritual and military skills or whatever trading skill they like?! It's such a waste of human potential! Still RSS and other right wingers call it scientific and useful!! Here: Well vedas : rigveda ( rigved mandal 10) gives definition of four varna, yajurveda mentions definition of chandal ( shudra father and brahmin mother ) and nishadha ( vaishya father and brahmin mother) which is proof of birth based varna system and discrimination (Google what it means), mahabharat has many stories about birth based varna system ( check what " sut" in sutputra karna means. Its not sudra like most believe) its a clan of people whose father was kshatriya and mother was brahmin ....as they broke code of varna system they are punished by having status lower than kshatriya., Bhagwat Gita is just part of mahabharat so in that context it does believe in birth based discrimination right there. When Krishna says women become impure due to war is because this varna system gets corrupted by women marrying outside of varna system!! He does consider it as corruption of religion! The guna and karma that Krishna uses are past life karma and gunas are assumed according to the which ever varna person was born into ( bhagwatGita 4:13). bhagwat Gita talks about paap yoni ( even women and vaishya are called paap yoni) etc and says one must do work of varna he was born into no matter how bad he was at it, and never do work of other varna no matter how good he is at it, (bhagwatGita 18:47).... If you read 4:13 along with 18:47 this will be crystal clear!! with this context all Gita is actually trying to implement birth based varna system and discrimination out of which caste system originated. In Valmiki krut ramayana Ram is called protector of varna system which is called varna dharm!! So from vedas to mahabharat, ramayana, puranas , all smritis including manusmriti are all talking about birth based discriminatory varna system out of which caste system originated!! so from vedas to ramayana, mahabharat, bhagwat gita all sanction varna system out of which caste system originated. So caste discrimination is a religious problem that needs to be addressed. No one wants to do that because whole edifice of religion comes down with it.

I think the best way to keep up the vedic life is for brahmins to resort to farming. Dont own massive lands. just small pieces. study the vedas early morning, tend to the farm, cattle in the late morning and afternoon. It takes you back to nature, to god, to really matters, and away from all the maya of modern kaliyuga society.
@meenu9992 күн бұрын
Yes, that will take them out of competition in all types of jobs and get no reservations too, right?
@cyb-m2 күн бұрын
@ I am Brahmin myself. And yes if they go back to farming, then they don’t need to depend on other sources of income. I am not saying, they should not learn different trades for knowledge sake. But if vaideekis also do farming then they don’t need to depend on others to support them, and will be close to nature and away from the evils of modern society. They won’t need reservations. AI is going to take over all those tech jobs, very few will have jobs as verification and test engineers. And we all have to eat, so farming will be crucial. Many Brahmin boys don’t get girls to marry, as all of them want rich and established guys. So, people who are in the vaideeki profession are even worse off, due to low income and not fashionable way of life. I am single too. Even after being in IT and in America. Real Brahmin life is boring and requires high discipline and most kids girls and boys don’t want it.

@meenu999 I am saying this as a Brahamin. The genesis for the degeneration of the entire Hindu society started with the Brahamins. It was the brahamins who were the first to leave their Dharma. I am not going into the reasons or the circumstances which paved way for that, but we need to follow our dharma, at least partially, if not completely.
@RG-un2vlКүн бұрын
@@adityasundar324 they did not leave their Dharma, they were just better situated due to their training to adapt to the new system during colonial rule. Since their occupation was learning, they could easily adapt to learning English and get into clerical jobs, which were the best jobs at the time for Indians, pathetic as it may be. The Varnas involved in vocational training and arts had basically nowhere to go and no means of earning a livelihood once their industry was destroyed by the British. So in a beggars world, the one with a single rupee is going to be looked on with contempt by those who have none or those who have no means of earning that rupee. Add to it the colonial narrative that intentionally instigated those who did not have that single rupee by pointing the finger at those who did, implicating them as the cause of all problems. What people do not understand is that those who caused the suffering are getting away with it Scot-free. While we point fingers at each other.
@adityasundar324Күн бұрын
@@RG-un2vl It was not mere clerical jobs which was adopted. There were Administrative and Judicial jobs (which is Kshatriya Dharma) which was also adopted. The representation of Brahamins in the Bureaucracy of the British in Madras Presidency and immediately after independence of Bharat was disproportionate to the population of Brahamins in the Presidency. Generations of Brahamins have left chanting vedic mantras (I am not insisting that they should earn their livelihood through vaideekam). How many Brahamins do regular sandhyavandhanam? How many Brahamins have abandoned the poojas which was passed down for generations? I am talking about this. An analogy is given by the erstwhile pontiff of Kanchi Mutt wherein he states that the Dharmic acts are like peddling a bicycle. It is the good dharmic acts of our ancestors which propels us ahead. but we need to continue to pedal and not merely coast because after a point of time, the bicycle will slow down and finally stop. Brahamins should course-correct and get back to our roots and do our dharma. Brahamins are supposed to guide the entire community, which can be done only if brahamins practice it themselves. Now, I am not pin-pointing any particular person and making this statement. I am talking about the community as a whole across the length and breath of Bharath. We need to get back to our roots. Dharmo Rakshathi rakshitaha. Dharma Protects those who protects themselves.

Just learning is not enough. You need to have a particular mindset and thought processes to understand in depth. It is not MA or PhD that you can just learn by mote. Sir, first what do we / you mean by the word “ caste”? As I do not know the Portuguese language, and imagine that I do not know English, but do know all the languages of our country, then, what words would you use instead of “caste”? Varna? Jaathi? Or both interchangeably? If so, how can we use them interchangeably when each of them have different meanings and significance? Sir, by continuing to use a word imposed on us by an ill-meaning alien people who for a short period occupied our land physically, but occupying our minds for longer and deeper, we are harming ourselves and our ancient civilization irreparably. If we used Varna and Jaathi in their true meaning, wecwould not be so confused.
