In short: The First Descender is the Primordial One. Phanes waged war to take over Teyvat from the rule of the Dragon Sovereigns. Phanes won and has full authority and control over Teyvat, shaping it to whatever Phanes' wish it to be. The Second Descender is a group of descenders of the light element, where they are imprisoned by Phanes, thus becoming the Four Shades of Phanes. They became servants of the Primordial One. The Third Descender is the dragon Nibelung. The Dragon King of Teyvat. He used powers originating outside of Teyvat with a strong will of destruction, classified officially as a descender. Phanes and the Four Shades fought Nibelung, starting the War of Vengeance. This war might be the cause on why Teyvat is upside down. Maybe, since it is said to have brought the world on the verge of collapse, but probably not. Anyway, Phanes won. Nibelung's remains were separated into seven portions and made into the seven Gnoses to prevent his resurrection.

thats why the tsaritsa's trying to get all the gnosises, to revive the 3 Desender, but I also believe in the Theorie Paimon being the 1 Desender (Primodial one) and the Hevently Prinzipe erased her memory, which caused her to take the form of a child and then she was told her name was Paimon and then she was thrown by Celestial to get rid of her but she ended up in the water where Treveler found her.

Another theory regarding the 3rd descender by Wei is out y'all😍😍 (He has multiple theories regarding Paimon, the 3rd descender, etc.) I love all of his theories! (the new theory as of late May 2024 is about Ajax/Childe/Tartaglia being the reincarnation of the 3rd descender )

The fact that this ties so well to genshin lore, as it would explain why the sibling (the one we don't pick to play with and become prince/princess of abyss) is not classified as a descender while we are. Abd this is a theory? Smart people bruh 💀

There's one theory connected to the Tsaritsa collecting the gnosi and Ajax, where she wishes to resurrect the 3rd descender. Ajax being the reincarnation of the descenders soul and not his at his full power. Connecting with this theory, Ajax's bloodlust and his coincidental connection with both the Abyss and Skirk somehow seems to just make me more convinced that's the way the story will be going.

fucking thank you! Finally, someone says it. I have been saying for years that the Gnosis does not give you power. It never once said it gave you power. It just gave them authority. They were gods before they gained the Gnosis. And this explains so much having the power of a god to that extent gives you the capability of protecting the Gnosis. It also explains why the Gnosis was harming the user, such as Zhongli, stating that it caused erosion. How ei went and remove it from her body because she wanted nothing to do with it. If the creature locked inside is so bad, of course it's going to harm the user that has it literally stuck in their body. Now the point is, is that the tsarisa wants to use this to overthrow Celestia. Now the question is are we going to fight Celestia in the end with the dragon king because he was attacked and sealed Or will she release the Dragon King and we have to fight that? Who's the real bad guy here? And get this, I just had a thought If we're the 4th descender, but we have a sibling that's our "twin". that is part of the tree That means they would have to be in some way integrated into it, like. rebirth, So maybe it's not a twin at all. Maybe it's a past life seeing as how the beginning of the game is actually the end, Our fight. with the The sustainer. is actually shown to be at the entrance screen. Then you see the. konria- (sorry cant spell it but you get it) breakdown scene with all the red and that looks like the beginning too. So that looks like the end of the fight and the world itself as if the world was resetting and we woke up back at the beginning doing the story over. It's kind of like one of those recap movies. Anyhow, I mentioned they'd have to be integrated into the tree Like say rebirth. What if we don't have a sibling? What if the sibling is us reborn? just rebirthed like the Dragons do, like nouvillette. Since the Dragons can rebirth. what if the Dragons are considered celestial beings Since you know they came before Celestia, and it's where Celestia gets their power. and are we considered celestial beings? I don't know. It just makes sense in how we would survive outside the cycle and there somehow be more than one of us. It also kind of fits as if everybody has their soul split into 7. because everybody has the seven constellations and each time you unlock one, you get stronger just as if you were to compile all of the Gnosis. They would become one and become strong. Get what I'm getting at. I don't know what if everything is split. Furthermore, you know the theory on there will only be one left. every time there is two of something in teyvat, the other one is always fake or some kind of reflection. So what if the sibling isn't actually real? Just like how they were seeing the sibling in the mirror as themself? And a reflection is considered upside down, hence the upside down eyvat theory. All of these start to, like, intermingle together and make so much sense. just like how the gods have demon names. But the tsaritsa has a heavenly name. but the gods are good. But the tsaritsa seems to be bad. It's opposite. Upside down, reflective. just like the symbol on Pimons shirt the gordion knot. It's a tale from Greek mythology. Basically, anybody who can untie the knot was told to be able to rule all of Asia This was then basically untied by Alexander the great when he cut it in half. I ain't gonna lie That sounds like a reference to us literally cutting the knot in half. If Paimon is the knot, we have to fight Paimon and "cut it in half". And then we are to rule all of Celestia, all of Asia. If she is the metaphorical Gordian knot. I don't know. It just makes a lot of sense. Or maybe we have to unravel the knot, but I don't know the reference to cutting in half kind of alludes to a fight. then theres this ", known in physics as the perfect shape. The Torus Tube (gordion knot) was used as a symbol for the unity of the consciousness with the universe. Although the Gordian Knot goes on for eternity, with no beginning and no end, there are three clear ovals shaped by this continuous line. These three shapes represent the Holy Trinity and its union, as well as the three forces (positive, negative and neutral) that comprise the universe." Going on for all eternity sounds like Ermansoul. And the positive negative and neutral. are the three points, but it kind of sounds like positive the traveler negative the sibling and neutral Piamon. I'm not gonna point it all out, but look up what Aether is the god of. You'll see so many things pointing to aether the god of light. then theres this If all the gods have demon names, but the Staritsa has an angelic name, and she's the bad guy in. the gods with the good guys. We're all friends with them. And then there's Paimon who has. a demon name. Let's look at what Paimon means. "King Paimon (also Paymon) is a spirit named in the Lesser Key of Solomon (in the Ars Goetia)" Lesser key of Solomon. Like she's the key. She's the Gordion knot. also kind of sounds like lesser Lord kusinali. As if paimon herself is a lesser Lord. with her power locked in a knot that we have to cut open. I don't know. mkay ill stop lol but before i go As I was looking at the meaning of names, I looked up Lesser Lord kusinali name meaning Figuring that out, then led to me clicking down a rabbit hole of looking at names like Nahida and Buer and for some reason zhongli popped up... i did not like what i read and while it could mean nothing.... i dont like it "Zhongli's chinese name is 钟离. The first word translates to clock, while the second word means to leave. This is significant because there is a Chinese superstition regarding clocks and death." It could just be a reference to his fake death and his retirement. But it also could be referencing something else. sorry i went on for so long but i love genshin lore its so in-depth and once you start connecting dots its hard to stop lol.

I have another theory. What of the travelers are a LOT older. Like I have a theory that lumine is the third descender sinds she checks out these boxes and from what we’ve seen she’s been able to manipulate a new element (abyss) AND her powers were taken away meaning that could be her remains (of her power).
