岩手に興味を持つきっかけとなったものの一つがシンセでの演奏であるにも関わらず媛神の音楽が持つ、懐かしさと暖かさでした。車内でCDを流しながら、スタジオがある田瀬湖畔あたりや遠野から早池峰界隈を巡った楽しい思い出があります。

This music is so wonderful. I started to listen to Himekami in the late 70ies. I have like, all their CDs up till 2010, I even had vinyl with their beautiful record covers. In the mid 80ies my mom got sick, cancer. She undervent chemo. So when she came to town for the treatment, she stayed at my place until she felt safe to drive home some 120km from my place. We came home from the sessions and she layed on the floor, beneath the big varanda type window, on big indian pillows and demanded; "Son, I want to relax and dream a bit, can you please put the record from Himekami on the CD player. After some 25 minutes she was sleeping and relaxed. She passed away shortly after and it took me some 10 years before I dared to listen to this beautiful music.

5月3日、藤枝まつりに参加して、秀衝、義経対面の儀で初めてこの曲を聞き鳥肌が立ちました❗ 800年も前事ですが、この曲で二人が現実に対面されているようで切ない気持ちでいっぱいになりました。 義経役の伊藤健太郎さんの心情にもあい通じるものを感じて、忘れられない思い出です❣️
